ISIS kills dozens of Turkish soldiers, captures German tanks

This starts to get very suspense. Hopefully, the army will not take a possible flag-change of al-Bab from hostile to hostile. But well, the army can take advantage from Erdogan keeping ISIS busy. If ISIS leaves in the last minute, to hell with them and create precedents in al-Bab, 24h observation required. If ISIS stays, a careful and slow advancement is needed. Inside al-Bab, no advantage can be taken from Erdogan attacks, they could be aborted and result in unexpected fierce resistance against the army.

"BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:05 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army continued their large-scale offensive in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Thursday, targeting the Islamic State’s (ISIL) positions across the Al-Bab Plateau.

Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the village of Deir Qaq at the western end of the Al-Bab Plateau this morning, resulting in a fierce battle with the Islamic State militants along the main highway that stretches from the provincial capital to Al-Bab city.

According to a military source in Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army managed to liberate Deir Qaq after a two hour long battle with the Islamic State forces inside the village.

Following the liberation of Deir Qaq, the Syrian Arab Army continued their advance at the village of Abu Taltal, where they have already seized most of the Islamic State’s positions.

With their recent advance, the Syrian Arab Army is now at the footsteps of Al-Bab, leaving less than 4km left of ISIL-held territory to liberate before reaching the city."

Is this another abomination of Erdogan, the notorious wryneck?

The coordinates for the Russian airstrike that killed three Turkish soldiers have been provided by the Turkish military, the Kremlin says. Effectively, the Turks bombed themselves! The Turkish military then accused the Syrian airforce! Does Erdogan deem the Russians that foolish that he thinks he can damage the Moscow-Damascus Axis this way? I can only repeat that the Turkish soldiers must now refuse to serve Erdogan and ask for asylum in Syria! They can join a Syrian civil defense (NDF) unit and show the Syrians they are good people.
Nevertheless, Erdogan and Putin announced to continue the cooperation.

Meanwhile, ISIS claims 85 Turkish soldiers died within the last three months by publishing an "info graph".

Turkey provided intel for friendly fire airstrike that killed 3 soldiers in Aleppo: Kremlin

Days after ISIS killed at least 10 Turkish soldiers and dozens of FSA fighters, another offensive on al-Bab by the mixed Erdogan forces proved to be a disaster, as well. 70 Turkish soldiers were killed according to ISIS, two modern Leopard tanks captured.
This proves again that only the Syrian Arab Army is able to fight ISIS, even victorious in the minority.

Where do we get to thank Bush for making all this happen?

The US foreign policy has been coherent and the little tools, be they called Clinton, Bush or Obama, don´t mean a thing as they are replaceable like an attrited gearwheel.

Trump seems to want to continue it. He's threatening Iran again, he's going after ISIS. Change? Not much.

We will see. Trump has already written a nice letter to China, attempting to calm the waves. He can also leave Iran alone. The US military is in no position to defeat Iran military, anyway.

Sure he can, Mr Flip Flop. The problem is he's gone off about making the US safe, and he's protecting Israel because of who his advisors are. Israel and Iran, think about it.

But Iran poses no threat to other countries and never did in history. The US/Israeli problem is actually a regional power that can stand strong against their ME agendas.
However, it is a good thing that the US government is stopping to support terrorist armies and threatening those who fight them. Instead, the coalition has now repeatedly attacked al-Qaeda "rebels" and even launched several strikes on ISIS, thus directly supporting the Syrian army at Palmyra. This change as been noticeable since Trump became President-elect. Clinton called for no-fly zones against the airforces of Syria and Russia and even intended to directly attack the Syrian ground forces who are in war against Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

"(The) Syrian Arab Army paid tribute to fallen residents of Al-Bab countryside who helped them in the fight against the Islamic State of Irak and al-Sham (ISIS), behind the enemy lines.

These civilians were in direct contact with the SAA command center and used to work as spies within ISIS-held territory, giving information and gathering coordinates for air and artillery strikes.

The group was discovered and killed by ISIS militants while they were trying to escape; the Syrian Armed Forces retrieved their bodies two days ago, helding a funeral to mourn them.

The ceremony was headed by Jamil Hassan, chief of the Syrian Air Force Intelligence Directorate, and Suheil Al-Hassan, main commander of Tiger Forces."

Al-Bab: Syrian Army honors civilians who helped behind enemy lines

The "rebels" of Erdogan reportedly positioned themselves between al-Bab and the SAA while also pushing into the city. The Russians said the army will not try to take al-Bab, effectively presenting the city and its residents to Erdogan and his terrorists.

The is no acceptable solution that leaves parts of the country in the hands of terrorists or other illegitimate occupiers and separatists.

Meanwhile, 650 ISILs where killed by the SAA since the beginning of the operation about three weeks ago, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced. More elite units arrive to this battlefield. If Syria loses al-Bab due to Russian Erdogan brownnosing, Bashar is well advised to throw them both out. Keep on moving, liberate al-Bab regardless which terrorists hold it. Insane shit, betrayal of the alliance, the Syrian people.

Erdogans advance did not only cost many of his soldiers lives but also that of hundreds of civilians which are mercilessly shelled by artillery and airstrikes. The Syrian government demanded Turkey´s withdrawal from Syria.
Meanwhile, an ISIS offensive has recaptured several points from the Erdogan forces. It is unclear what their intentions are in al-Bab, but maybe they have just enough fools that walk eagerly into the fire. The ISIS presence in al-Bab will surely end soon but on the other hand, there is no safe place for ISIS anymore, the caliphate is now a swiss cheese with military pressure on each "border". So, Erdogan can expect the fiercest resistance. As for the Syrian government, no complaints at the UN will do the trick but only the hard decision to send the army.
