ISIS kills dozens of Turkish soldiers, captures German tanks

Erdogan´s offensive on al-Bab is so weak that ISIS has redeployed forces to Deir Ezzor, where they are not coming back from and now attacks the Syrian army near al-Bab, where they are also not coming back from. ISIS suffers heavy casualties in both the places in addition to the Palmyra battlefield.

Turkey has now officially requested Russian air support, stressing the coalition is not doing their job. A campaign to help Erdogan cannot be legal, however, as Turkish forces are embedded within al-Qaeda forces.

baatho-islamo-Nazi squabbles are so much fun

More Turkish casualties as another attack on al-Bab ended disastrous.

"BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 P.M.) - The Turkish Army, alongside their allies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA), launched a new offensive in the eastern countryside of Al-Bab on Sunday, targeting the Islamic State's positions in Umm Adaseh, Qabr Maqri, and Al-Saghlaniyeh.

Beginning the offensive with nonstop airstrikes, the Turkish Army hoped that this assault would weaken the Islamic State's resolve and allow their forces to enter Al-Bab with relative ease.

This calculation would prove entirely wrong, as the Islamic State not only beat back the assault, but they also inflicted heavy casualties on the encroaching soldiers from the Turkish Army and FSA."

Turkish Army, FSA suffer heavy losses in failed offensive in east Aleppo

Another failed attack on ISIS has been conducted by the Turkish army and their Islamist terrorist allies. While it is a good thing, when Islamist terrorists fight and thus weaken each other, the Turkish army seems to be completely out of place as there is no side support for could be justified.

Meanwhile, 4 additional Russian aircraft arrived in Syria for the long awaited Syrian army´s upcoming eastern Aleppo offensive which also could include al-Bab.

"BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 P.M.) - On Saturday, the Turkish Army and their rebel allies launched their 8th assault at the village of Al-Suflaniyah after taking a short hiatus from the battle in order to regroup.

With a large force and heavy armory, the Turkish Army and rebels stormed Al-Suflaniyah on Saturday, striking the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists from the northern perimeter of the village.

However, the Turkish Army's infiltration attempt would take a turn for the worse on Saturday, when several of their vehicles were destroyed by the Islamic State terrorists protecting Al-Suflaniyah.

With their casualties mounting, the Turkish Army and their rebel allies made a strategic withdraw from Al-Suflaniyah's northern flank; thus, abruptly ending their 8th assault on the village."

There is reportedly an agreement between Syria, Turkey and Russia. Syria declared areas free to be struck by the Turkish airforce and vise versa. This means, the Syrian airforce could start bombing incoming terrorists even in Turkey.

An agreement between Russia and Turkey allows joint airstrikes against ISIS.

Meanwhile, the Turkish military takes more ground at Kobani.

"BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:45 P.M.) - The Turkish Army will pull back its forces attacking the Islamic State (ISIS) stronghold of Al-Bab in order to allow the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to liberate the city, Lebanese journalist Hussein Murtada reported on Friday."

Turkish army with first success at al-Bab since a month as the Syrian army advances.

"It is worth mentioning that the closer the SAA gets to al-Bab, the closer they will be to sealing their front-line with Turkey-led Islamist forces and those of the Turkish Army proper. The ability of the Turkish polity to control the proxy militant forces under their leadership and hold them back from attacking SAA troops whom they (armed groups such as the Free Syrian Army and Ahrar al-Sham) have historically been opposed to will be a critical test of strength for the supposedly new found Moscow-Tehran-Ankara-Damascus alliance."

Turkish Army finally captures Al-Sulfaniyah in east Aleppo after a dozen attempts

ISIS recaptured a village from the SAA, using Turkish military equipment. The SAA believes that the Turkish military´s defeats are false and that the Turkish military leaves the equipment behind for ISIS to use it against the Syrian Arab Army.

The SAA underlined that they are prepared to confront the Turkish rebels if necessary. They have captured a village from them in the past.

Meanwhile, 30 villages were liberated from ISIS by the Syrian army in the past 3 weeks.

Syria denounces Turkey’s illegal incursion into the country to the UN

"Syria has strongly denounced Turkey’s recent attacks near the flashpoint town of al-Bab, calling on the United Nations to assume its responsibilities and put an end to the violation of the Arab country’s sovereignty, PressTV reported.

The Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry made the request in two letters addressed to the UN Secretary General and the president of the Security Council on Thursday, the report continued.

Since November, Turkey has occupied swathes of Syrian territory, using its fight against ISIS and the Kurdish YPG that it deems as a terrorist group, as justification for its illegal incursion.

The letters said that the Turkish occupation threatens international peace and security.

The ministry further accused the government in Ankara of providing military, material and logistic support to terrorist organizations, facilitating the entry of foreign militants into Syria and setting up training camps for militants on Turkish soil."

The al-Bab region not far from complete siege. If the ISIS terrorists have no way to retreat, they will have no choice but the confrontation with the Erdogan forces. Hopefully then, the army will take out the terrorist winner of this battle, be it Erdogan or ISIS.

Meanwhile, the army has received a number of new T62M tanks. They will probably be upgraded with Bashar´s latest soft kill active protection systems and fire control systems.

The Erdogan forces try desperately to enter al-Bab as the Syrian army steadily advances. Their hurry can easily result in more casualties. With Russia supporting both sides, the situation is very strange and if both sides clash, there is surely no plan how to react. When will Erdogan wake up from his nightmare and show some sanity?

"Following the liberation of two villages in eastern Aleppo earlier in the day, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) proceeded to reopen a brand new flank in the area. Despite claims in ISIS outlets of jihadist militants imposing heavy casualties among government ranks, several units loyal to the SAA managed to push forward and seize the Hawwart Jabbul hill and fully secure the road which stretches vertically along the renown Jabbul Lake.

Remarkably, this stretch of land has been off limits to the Syrian Government since 2012; its capture will serve to improve logistic capabilities and subsequently stabilize the flow of goods pouring into the provincial capital of Aleppo from its relatively narrow supply route.

The offensive itself was led primarily by several contingents of the Republican Guard yet also supported by the Baqir Brigade (Syrian tribal unit) and Harakat al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary). Meanwhile, Russian jets provided supportive airstrikes throughout the day, thus propelling the government advance.

With the Islamic State gradually losing ground in Aleppo province, the pressure is increasingly mounting on its regional strongholds of Deir Hafer and Al-Bab. This evening, the latter city faced a new powerful assault from the Turkish Army and aligned Syrian rebel factions which have besieged ISIS fighters inside Al-Bab for several months to little avail.

With zero hour approaching and several hostile factions in the region, rumours suggest ISIS commanders are considering completely abandoning eastern Aleppo in order to conduct a tactical withdrawal towards Raqqa as the Islamic State reportedly lacks sufficient manpower to uphold their defensive lines.

In addition, an anonymous military source close to Al-Masdar News indicated further SAA advances were in the making as reconnaissance units continue to scout the terrain and challenge the endurance of ISIS’ fighters."

The Turkish army and "rebels" managed to enter the city of al-Bab and the Syrian army has further advanced and is only 4 Km away from al-Bab. At the current time, there is no order for the SAA troops to capture al-Bab. The SAA denied ISIS claims that over 40 soldiers were killed during the battle for the Khanasser Highway in southeast Aleppo recently, which the SAA won.
