So Donald married an illegal immigrant and his kid is an anchor baby, go figure. Now Republicans are going to put this disgrace in the White House where he'll probably get congress to grant all of Slovenia American citizenship and let his Commie father-in-law sleep in the Lincoln bedroom.

What's next? All Republicans are going to name their children Melania and Viktor?
Right, we should give special privileges to anyone that marries Trump.
Wow. I had no idea so many LWers were scared Hillary will lose to Trump. Fascinating.

Actually, there isn't.

Ravi, he is in fact correct. Those who overstay their visas and such are not considered or counted as undocumented. Words have meanings, you've never seemed to understand that.
Sure they are. Expired documents means undocumented no matter how you try to spin it.

Undocumented means not recorded. Expired means out of date. The two aren't the same. To say they are is like saying you can have something that is out of date that never existed.

Do you have a driver's license? If so, if it expires, does that mean you never had one? It means the one you have is out of date. Expired doesn't mean undocumented.
Yes it does.

I explained the difference. If you're too fucking stupid to understand, let me know. Wait, you already did.
Improperly documented is just more PC nonsense.

So at worst, she would have been improperly documented, as opposed to undocumented.

Still doesn't impact that letting people flood across your border willy nilly is a bad idea, and rewarding them for that with permanent status is a worse idea.
Improperly documented :lmao:

yep. There is actually a difference there, I'll let you figure it out.

No, it doesn't. There is a paper trail of their entry. There are documents, just out of date, incorrect ones.

Words mean things.

In laymen terms yes but nowhere else.

You mean in "Ravi can't admit he is incorrect terms", right?

Yes, they do and your PC agenda is clear.

The easy definition of an undocumented immigrant is that it’s a foreign-born person who doesn’t have a legal right to be or remain in the United States. But that’s where the easy part stops. Let’s look at some common questions and misconceptions about undocumented immigrants.

Is an undocumented immigrant the same as an illegal alien?
Yes, but “illegal alien” is not a technical term – it’s the popularly used jargon, nowhere found in the U.S. immigration laws. Because of its insulting connotations even though it covers a wide variety of types of people, however, we at Nolo prefer to use the more neutral term, “undocumented immigrant.”

Do all undocumented immigrants sneak across the U.S. border?
Some, but not all. Although accurate numbers are hard to come by, it’s clear that a significant number of undocumented immigrants originally came to the U.S. legally, whether as tourists or on some other nonimmigrant (temporary) visa, and then failed to leave.

If you claim that expired and undocumented mean the same thing, you'd have to admit you believe something that doesn't exist because it's not recorded (undocumented) can go out of date (expire). Are you willing to do that?

Ah yes, because Nolo.com is a end all be all source of definitions on this stuff.

People who came into the US through proper channels are NOT undocumented. What they did afterwards makes their status illegal, and yes illegal alien is a broad term that can be used in many ways.

Undocumented means undocumented. No record of a visa application (if needed). No record of any entry into the US. no record on file of any passport used for said entry.

Nice citing of your source...

It's a simple definition, there is no need for a source.

If you came in on a tourist visa and overstayed your duration, there is still documentation of your entry. If you cross a border without going through the customs check, there is no record of you, hence you are undocumented.
