Not an argument. Tariffs still damage the economy and make things more expensive. That's like demanding people stick a square peg in a round hole, and if they don't like it, they should go somewhere else.
That's also an argument against competition; If one place builds better and cheaper products, then putting tariffs on that product just means that there's less competition, so those other options don't have to innovate or use competitive prices. Not only that, but with so many regulations on the businesses already, the Government is already creating pseudo-monopolies. If you every wondered why there's so few options for products, and why vehicles don't last as long, or why they're not as safe and made of plastic instead of metal, you can thank the Government for that, since they agree with you on economic nationalism.
I think it's pretty telling that you're apparently an economic nationalist, who doesn't think that American businesses can compete in a free market.
Here's a lesson on tariffs, I just wanted to give you an educational video to ignore so that you can show all of the lurkers that you're not actually interested in honest discussion on the subject, Champ.
Lol, your links prove nothing but thank you for labeling me. Europe has room for you and tariffs are good for this country. Why do you think Mexico suddenly started intervening at the border? If you think.
As I thought, the video is 17 minutes, and you replied in less than 3. You didn't even click it, proving you're not interested in honest discussion.
Also, that's not a baseless label, you support tariffs and said to buy American or leave. You are an economic nationalist by definition, whether you believe that or not. As a result, you're not a free marketer, Tariffs and regulations are antithetical to a free market.
You can claim that tariffs are "good for this country", but you've provided no arguments to support that, nor did you specify in what regard. Do you mean for the land mass, the Government, or the people ruled by that Government? Because the interests of each are very much separate, so that statement is just as empty as your previous one.
So, I know you're not going to give an honest answer but I'll ask anyway, what's wrong with a free market, champ? Do you think people won't act in their own interests unless the Government forces them to?
Are you just stupid or what? I never waste my time with your bullshit media crap links. And you can stop trying to impress us all with your fearsome knowledge. All of your "facts" come from questionable media sources.
Well, firstly, I'm an Anarchist, so I'm not repeating anything the media says. You're only pretending that my information comes from the media because you have no responses to someone who isn't a leftist, but still disagrees with you. Unlike you, I actually support a free market, and I'm calling you out on being a collectivist and an authoritarian.
My facts come from the Austrian school of Economics, and actual analysis of the effects of the 'legislation' in question. You can't even argue that it doesn't just increase prices and reduce competition. This is pathetic, your best response is pretending that the mainstream media supports a free market.
You can be anyone on the internet.
Not an argument against any points I made. The fact that you ignored them all pretty conclusively shows that you can't provide one.
