Andrew Klavan runs down the list of things that show why Trump is far from stupid, and why anyone who calls him stupid are likely stupid themselves...

I don't think anyone who managed to get elected president is stupid. I don't even think that the progressives who spew their media Koolaid all day are stupid, they are unjust liars.

Andrew Klavan runs down the list of things that show why Trump is far from stupid, and why anyone who calls him stupid are likely stupid themselves...

If you sauntered in here claiming your father was born in "a very wonderful place in Germany" ---- after everybody already knew he was born in the Bronx ----- and then reiterated it over and over ---- would you not be "stupid"?

If you made a televised speech about how the Revolutionary War forces took the airports ---- in the eighteenth century ---- would you not be "stupid"?

If you were presented with a map of Asia and thought there were countries called "Button" and "Nipple" --- would you not be "stupid"?

If you tried to claim it "wasn't my voice on the tape" when you had a camera crew shooting your image while you were saying it ---- would you not be "stupid"?

If you thought you could retroactively change the direction of a hurricane with the use of a Sharpie --- would you not be "stupid"?

Shall I go on?

He and his supporters think exporters pay tariffs.

Yes. He and his supporters are stupid.

No, tariffs raise prices in order to make domestic goods competitive.

That’s why China and the EU have used tariffs for decades.

Are they stupid?

Uhm yes? Tariffs are stupid, they damage the economy. If someone is producing something for a cheaper price, and people desire to buy those goods at that price, it's not a greenlight for the Government to steal from them and make them more expensive. If the Government wanted things competitive, we wouldn't have roughly 900,000 regulations being forced on us.

EU.... EU.... doesn't that include a very wonderful place in Germany?

If your "very good brain" used "the best" words like "covfefe" and "unpresidented" and "space capsicle" and "renoversh" and "Obamna" and "midturn"--- would you not be "bigly stupid"?

If you called Tim Cook "Tim Apple" and Marilyn Hewson "Marilyn Lockheed", and then denied that you did so even though that too was recorded on video --- would you not be "stupid"?

If you made up a story about "thousands and thousands dancing on rooftops", and then threw a hissyfit when nobody would back up your fabrication --- and then mocked a congenital disability of a reporter who wouldn't join in that fabrication --- and then tried to claim you weren't mocking him ----- would that not make you "stupid"?

If you contrived a fake "university" to separate your marks from their money, then got sued and claimed you'd "never settle" and that the judge (from Indiana) was "Mexican" --- and then went ahead and settled with the Mexican-Indiana judge for 25 million smackers ---- would that make you "stupid"?

Or --- would it make you a loser like Roy Cohn?

Which then leads us to this:
-- If you took the advice of Roy Cohn to ignore facts, invent your own reality and never admit anything, even when confronted by the raw evidence, and it was clearly not working out because you got called on it every time, and yet you continued right on with the same delusional approach expecting different results ---- would that not make you BIGLY stupid?

And if you were incapable of reading this when somebody else was doing it --- would not THAT make you bigly stupid?

So why do we still have a deficit with China after a year or so of tariffs?

Not an argument. Tariffs still damage the economy and make things more expensive. That's like demanding people stick a square peg in a round hole, and if they don't like it, they should go somewhere else.

That's also an argument against competition; If one place builds better and cheaper products, then putting tariffs on that product just means that there's less competition, so those other options don't have to innovate or use competitive prices. Not only that, but with so many regulations on the businesses already, the Government is already creating pseudo-monopolies. If you every wondered why there's so few options for products, and why vehicles don't last as long, or why they're not as safe and made of plastic instead of metal, you can thank the Government for that, since they agree with you on economic nationalism.

I think it's pretty telling that you're apparently an economic nationalist, who doesn't think that American businesses can compete in a free market.

Here's a lesson on tariffs, I just wanted to give you an educational video to ignore so that you can show all of the lurkers that you're not actually interested in honest discussion on the subject, Champ.

Lol, your links prove nothing but thank you for labeling me. Europe has room for you and tariffs are good for this country. Why do you think Mexico suddenly started intervening at the border? If you think.

Fake news. Trump haters can't tell the truth. Why don't you people stop with the media bullshit and talk about things you know for a fact? But I guess you wouldn't post much then would you?

As I thought, the video is 17 minutes, and you replied in less than 3. You didn't even click it, proving you're not interested in honest discussion.

Also, that's not a baseless label, you support tariffs and said to buy American or leave. You are an economic nationalist by definition, whether you believe that or not. As a result, you're not a free marketer, Tariffs and regulations are antithetical to a free market.

You can claim that tariffs are "good for this country", but you've provided no arguments to support that, nor did you specify in what regard. Do you mean for the land mass, the Government, or the people ruled by that Government? Because the interests of each are very much separate, so that statement is just as empty as your previous one.

So, I know you're not going to give an honest answer but I'll ask anyway, what's wrong with a free market, champ? Do you think people won't act in their own interests unless the Government forces them to?

Well, firstly, I'm an Anarchist, so I'm not repeating anything the media says. You're only pretending that my information comes from the media because you have no responses to someone who isn't a leftist, but still disagrees with you. Unlike you, I actually support a free market, and I'm calling you out on being a collectivist and an authoritarian.

My facts come from the Austrian school of Economics, and actual analysis of the effects of the 'legislation' in question. You can't even argue that it doesn't just increase prices and reduce competition. This is pathetic, your best response is pretending that the mainstream media supports a free market.
