Is this REALLY what you believe???

Detroit—the city of my birth and where I currently reside— can be used as a paradigm of the apocalyptic disaster of black people voting for 75 years against their own vested interests. Since the 1967 riots, Detroit has steadily devolved from a cosmopolitan, dynamic city representing people of all political, intellectual, racial and ethnic groups—a city which in 1900 was called “the Paris of America”—into a balkanized, racially gentrified and intellectually monolithic city of liberal Democrats, unionism and corruption.

<snip>
These patterns have been replicated in big cities across America where large concentrations of black people tend to live. Beginning in the 1960s, black people voted only for blacks and thus victimized themselves with mercenary and dishonest black leadership from the mayor to lower leadership ranks. This drove out the white middle and upper classes (with their tax dollars) and, in a few decades, turned many of these once great cities into America’s largest ghettos: Detroit is among the most preeminent of these cities of infamy.

So why do black people always vote for the Democratic Party? Because for the past 75 years since the socialist FDR came to power, socially and culturally blacks have been indoctrinated to follow, follow, follow. From antiquity, they followed the African tribal chief and the shaman. During slavery, we followed ‘masser’ and the overseer and did what we were told. The next 100 years after 1865 and the Civil War during de jure and de facto segregation, we followed poverty-pimp preachers and civil rights activists (not Martin Luther King) who told us that by voting Democrat, God would bless black people through government handouts, a minimum wage and good government jobs.

But welfare and government programs have destroyed the black family. Today, we proudly follow our first black president, Barack Obama, despite the fact that this president has done more harm to America in his first year than any other U.S. president in history.

Why blacks vote Democrat By Ellis Washington

Then you are a racist just like he is.

He hates his own people and thinks its all their fault and that they only vote for handouts and because the massa says so.

No he doesn't and neither do I, I'd have to hate 1/3 of my family if I did. LOL You refuse to see you are being led down a path of lies and mistrusts about what you are capable of doing. You have become the sheep without even realizing it.

Why jump to the race card because you don't like what he said.

If you believe the same thing this author does than you are a racist.

So is he and he is black

There ya go, playing the race card again. If you read the article you will see how your hatred of white people keeps you from seeing your own self destruction.

Why must someone be racist if they are being honest, the statements about Detroit are backed up by facts and data. Most of it is a ghetto now, compliments of the government.

He claims blacks have distroyed major cities.

He claims they vote democratic because they are told to.

He claims they vote to get handouts.

He disparages MLK.

He claims social programs have distroyed the black people.

So he says black people are distroyed

They follow massa.

they vote for handouts.

They distory cities.

Your a racist if you believe all of that

Okay, a friend of the family posted this link on facebook, and I followed it because I was shocked a family friend would post a link to this hate site. I am shocked and dismayed at what I read. So my question is, do you REALLY believe like this op ed believes?

I believe the op-ed believes it.
That's 100% more of the population I'd hope does. Oh wait. I forgot there are probably a few on here who would agree 100% and maybe a couple who don't think he goes far enough.

There's probably not a lot of people who fall into every described category, but there sure are a lot who fall into one or more of them.

Irrational hatred of immigrants seems particularly en vogue at the moment. :dunno:

The republican party is racists and black people dont vote for you because of it.

If your party would stop being racist and quit trying to keep black people from voting you would see a change.

i have an older cousin whose grandmother (when she was alive) who wouldn't let him watch commercials (yes, commercials) if there were black people in them. i kid you not. i have another cousin (a hair younger than me) who forbids my niece and her black boyfriend from coming into his house (because it will set the "wrong example" for his daughters).

now, these are just two examples and are anecdotal. but of all my relatives, guess who the two are that scream the most about politics (and push their party the most)?

you just get one guess.

i think many black people (and this is just my opinion) won't vote republican because the party tends to talk down to them and assume they are not working hard. again, JMO.

They have worked for decades to keep black voters from voting.

They call them all welfare whores and stupid dupes all the time.

They have spewed more hate on Obama than any other president.

Guess why?

Yeah... the issues in Detroit have nothing to do with the Union Busting and Corporate Pandering that Republicans have endorsed since Reagan started it in the 1980's. It's all about the handouts. Perhaps some of you Conservatives ought to Cross the ideological divide and watch Michael Moore's first film "Roger and Me". The film is about Flint, Michigan... but it works for Detroit as well. Even if you take his commentary with a grain of salt(which I do myself), it brings up legitimate complaints. Same with "Capitalism, A love Story".

Not asking that you buy into everything he says... God knows I don't....Just view the films and realize that "gubmint" isn't necessarily the Boogeyman that Ate Detroit.

The actual policies that conservatives support demonstrate a hostility towards the groups mentioned in the OP. That is irrefutable.

Calling it 'hate' is probably not helpful; when you call it 'hate' then the debate always degenerates into an argument over what is or isn't 'hate'.

So my question is, do you REALLY believe like this op ed believes?
So.....your big problem is with what part of what this oped says??

It doesn't take a genius to recognize that.....the BIGGEST thing that helped launch the Tea Party was the fact we've gotten our first Black President. Hell, I've heard more-than-a-couple Teabaggers (here) admit they were never much interested in politics until the 2008 election.

They can dress-it-up any way they want to, but.....no matter what the Teabaggers insist, they always manage to make it sound like their primary-issue is.....

Well California Girl... Assumptions and blanket statements aren't only the intellectual property of the right... But I still maintain that the Right does it a hell of a lot more.

Sorry TM... if we are going to expose the warts of the right, we have to look in the mirror too.

Yeah.... Hey California Girl.... Psst... Look above.... No hate at all.

Yea, WTT is one of the right wing nutters on this board. Each side has them, but generally, these are the minority. Just like I recognize that rdean and TruthMocker are the minority on the left. Each side has its drooling horde.

Yes... you are correct... there are some on either side. However... all I ask from reasonable Conservatives is just to take a look at the posts on here with an open mind and then try to understand that most of the hate fueled rhetoric is coming from those "crazies on the far right".... they are speaking for you. They are the reason the GOP is getting a bad name.

It's up the reasonable right to take back the party that the radical right have hijacked. But, I forgot... Moderates are Marxists these days too.

The constitution is not crazy. The rule of law is not crazy. My hatred does not choose a political party. I voted the socialist dictator into office. People keep trying to divide, compartmentalize, and section off people as this or that. We are all the same. We should all be subjects of the law, not just those without the funds or means to stand up to state power. This is not a race issue. This is not a partisan issue. This is an American issue.

when republicans talk of welfare they use it as code to talk about black people.

The average welfare recipient is a white single woman with kids.

Republicans see a black face in their minds eye when they think of a welfare recipient.

Remember Reagans welfare queen in a caddilac?

black americans dont vote republican because the republican party doesnt like black people.

poor black people do not vote republican party because public education has conditioned all poor people that they will receive more 'swag' from the left, then from the right.

what I said is the truth.

Go ask a black person why they dont vote republican.

So many of you dont even ask the people themselves

I meet you all the time. You hate Obama. You hate gay people. You hate black people, immigrants, Muslims, labor unions, women who want the right to make choices concerning their bodies, you hate em all. You hate being called racist. You hate being called a bigot. Maybe if you talked about creating jobs more than you talk about why you hate gay people we wouldn't call you bigots. Maybe if you talked about black people without automatically assuming they are on food stamps while demanding their birth certificates we wouldn't call you racist. You hate socialism and social justice. You hate regulations and taxes and spending and the Government. You hate.

I hate Marxism that killed more people than all the wars of the past 200 years within the 20th century.
You can prove that, huh??
