Today being Superbowl there will be at some point when two groups will NOT agree but at least it will NOT be over politics, businesses, health care,etc.. but TEAMS!

And that got me thinking what is it other then my hoping the Giants will win is there that people I am most of the time diametrically opposed to i.e. 180 degrees in disagreement can agree on?

I mean even some of you won't agree if I said the sky is "blue" you'd disagree somehow!

So I'm listing a few things to see if you agree with reality.

1) Did the dot.com bubble bust cause $5 trillion in market losses as this article contends?
"America's 371 publicly traded Internet companies have grown to the point that they are collectively valued at $1.3 trillion, which amounts to about 8% of the entire U.S. stock market.
By 2001 the bubble was deflating at full speed. A majority of the dot-coms ceased trading after burning through their venture capital, many having never made a ″net″ profit. Investors often referred to these failed dot-coms as "dot-bombs.
The stock market crash of 2000–2002 caused the loss of $5 trillion in the market value of companies from March 2000 to October 2002

2) Did 9/11 occur and did it cause airlines to stop for 3 days, for the stock exchange to be closed for 4 days the longest since WWII!
By the end of the week, the DJIA had fallen 1369.7 points (14.3%), its largest one-week point drop in history. US stocks lost $1.2 trillion in value for the week.

3) Did The worst hurricane SEASONS occur from 2003 to 2008?
the Worst hurricane SEASONS.. (7 of the 10 worst hurricanes)
1. Katrina 2005 3 $81,000,000,000
3. Wilma (FL) 2005 3 $20,600,000,000
4. Ike (TX/LA/MS) 2008 2 $18,000,000,000
5. Charley (FL) 2004 4 $14,000,000,000
6. Ivan (FL/AL) 2004 3 $13,000,000,000
7. Rita (LA/TX) 2005 3 $10,000,000,000
9. Frances (FL) 2004 2 $8,860,000,000
12. Jeanne (FL) 2004 3 $6,500,000,000

Federal/State/Local income, sales, and property taxes almost $1 trillion!

So can we all agree the above events occurred? I would hope so!
Please tell me if they didn't because they all appeared to be real and I want to see if both liberals and non-liberals can agree at least on these 3 events!

If we all agree they happened then when you add up all the losses it comes to
$8 trillion over those 8 years.
Do we all agree that give or take a billion here or there.. that seems to be a real
economic loss figure again based not on me but the above sources???

So why is this agreement that these events occurred and that they costs collectively almost $ 8 trillion?
More to come...
