Is there a truly unbias news program on TV?

Well I can't ague with that :)

I think I have made it pretty clear how I feel about the 2 party strangle hold

Dude...think about this...

If the MSM wanted the voters in this country to go 3rd party, we'd have a 3rd party candidate in the White House in January.

It's all about the MSM. They shape and mold the minds.

Perception is reality, and they perpetuate the perception that 3rd party will never be viable.

Not that this is necessarily related to 3rd parties, but the MSM singlehandedly killed Ron Paul's candidacy. I don't care what anyone says. I was on the ground for months independently canvassing for his campaign, and the majority of negativity I encountered was 100% the product of something that was seen or heard from mainstream media. I know this because I've seen every single clip of Ron Paul in the mainstream. EVERY SINGLE ONE. If he was on TV, in the newspaper, or on the radio, I've seen it or heard it. I know exactly the perception that was created about his candidacy. He was given JUST ENOUGH mainstream exposure to shut the supporters up, with JUST ENOUGH subliminal bias to lead one to believe he's worthless. They've been doing it for DECADES. They've pretty much perfected the art.

You are arguing like I disagreed with you, when I didn't. I am well aware the MSM kills 3rd party Candidates.

If I had a Dollar for everytime I heard someone say "I really like the guy, but he'll never win, so I can't vote for him" ...

Who told them he can't win? They were just born to know who will and won't win? It's the MSM, and nothing else.

Nah, I'm not arguing. I just wanted to vent.

vent away, You make a lot of damn sense doing it. Unfortunately I am not sure how we are ever going to change things. I have been trying to convince people to vote 3rd party for some time, and their answer is always the same. "your wasting your vote, all you are doing is helping the other guy win, this election is to important to waste you vote"

The power of the MSM at work I guess.

Hannity & Colmes (though Colmes gets more time so this is arguable a left-leaning show)

Oreilly's pretty fair-minded for a centrist Democrat

Other than these two, you pretty much have to go to talk radio to find fair, unbiased commentary - Rush, Savage, and of course, The Great One, Mark Levin.

wait so Liberals are the pro capitalists in America? I am just asking because that seems like news to me.

That's not what I meant. I meant the two ideologies seem to be synonymous with each other. The people who subscribe to them just muddy the waters. In the US, capitalism seems to be synonymous with liberalism, or I guess I should say socialism. When capitalistic risks go south, liberalism steps in.

Most liberals I know are fair weather capitalists.

I do watch Hannity and Colmes Now and then, and I have to say despite what people say about Fox. That show is very fair. They never fail to have guests from both sides of the issue. The hosts, regardless of what you think of them individually, make a very balanced and therefore over all unbiased show.....

I am not sure if there is another show like it, with Hosts who share such opposing views, and that so constantly has guest who represent all sides of an issue. So in the case of this one show anyways. I think FOX lives up to the fair and balanced Motto.

I have always found attempts at this sort of balance end in mediocrity. Consider Fox news during the holocaust. In one chair the camp commander, in the other a thin looking Pole. The Pole claims horrible conditions, the commander say you never had it so good, plus you volunteered, you get three squares, what more can you ask for? The Fox commentator smiles effusively while they switch to a commercial for cigarettes. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.

Main stream media (msm) remains neutral or is owned by the right wing corporate powers. Media becomes, you see this already today, a partner of the corporate political structure. In an effort at fairness and balance all news is presented without criticism, while this gives the appearance of truth it allows a confusion of priorities so that partisan spokesmen define the issues. Constant repetition of policy statements or supporting doctrine becomes standard. Truth is a not an issue. Doubt becomes a norm of all comment. Terrorism becomes the background for all policy actions until a replacement foe is required.

It's a shame there are no liberal corporate moguls---really it is. You would think there is a liberal somewhere with enough--whatever it takes-- to be one. Maybe that's why Rupert Murdoch donated to Hillary's campaign. He felt sort sorry for her.
Y'all really do need to knock off all this poor mouthing shit when there are liberals who are filthy rich and are corporate moguls. Do you just hate capitalism ?

True enough.

It is sort of impossible to hate a thing. Capitalism like all isms is a set of ideas that help explain process and knowledge. I worship at no trough even liberalism. I have heard of a few liberal business people, the guy in Maine who after a fire continued to pay his employees till the business was rebuilt. But they are rare and I would just call them good people. Conservatism on the other hand is a sect today that has managed to gather together a diverse group of people, neocons and fundamentalists to name two, whose only goal is the destruction of new deal and the great society. They are doing a pretty good job too, if good can be attached to greed.

What is conservative about neocons?

So you mean to say that Conservatives oppose Socialism. Well, yeah! Socialism is a failed policy and would destroy the very freedom that was the core beliefs that begot the Constitution.

The term neocon is just what the left has decided to try and offend the right with. The prefix, neo, simply means new. So, I guess being called a "New conservative" is somehow supposed to be derogatory in some weird leftist kind of way.
