This is actually a myth.

Nothing changed about Russia, China, India, UK, or France. They are each still superpowers in their respective geographies, and the USA was never a world superpower since WW2.

The USA has a vast Navy and Air Force which can deploy to anywhere in the globe. The USAF can get there faster and can deploy a few paratroopers. The Navy can get there slower but with more strength -- Marines and their heavy equipment like tanks and arty.

But the USA could never attack Russia, China, India, UK or France in sufficient force. The US Army is a mere token reactionary force. For measly Iraq in 1990 and 2004 the US had to call up numerous reserves, which took lots of time. And Iraq is no superpower like the others are.

Right now the USA is a Western Hemisphere superpower, Russia is European, China is eastern Asian, and India is south Asian -- in terms of local superpowers.

The USA is NOT a world wide superpower. There is no such thing.

Truman, Ike, JFK, Ford, Carter, Clinton, and BHO each in their turn RIF'ed the US military both land, sea, and air.

Has nothing to do with being "liberal".

Has more to do with spiraling budget deficits.

The USA should not be the world's free policeman.

If the rest of the world want American police forces then they should pay to play. Trump is right about that.
