Supposedly Low Unemployment leads to inflation, so we have to raise rates???

Leave the fucking economy alone. Good god.

Economists have an important job and get paid a lot of money. Who would take them seriously if they didn't fiddle with the controls?

The Fed has been on a crusade since the day Yellen took over and was screaming about raising rates.

While they want to raise, to have some wiggle room when things slow down, this is been a little ridiculous.

We'll see what they say this week. Along with global growth and trade, the direction of the Fed is paramount to markets right now.

It could be as easily laid at the feet of extremist capitalists as "commies".
Capitalism seems to work fairly well when the capital is employed with increasing genuine wealth. When all it does is create more financial gains without substance, it creates bubbles that tear down everyone.
Provoking social crisis is reprehensible, be it of any persuasion.

Oh no! The economy is doing well! Let’s raise rates so when it DOES go into recession, we can lower rates!

Derp derp derp derp

Production of oil generates substantive financial gains.

(and I don't disagree with you)

Let's raise rates so that foreign capital can be attracted into further financial marketing.

How many times were rates raised during the Obama administration?

How many times have rates been raised during the Trump administration?

Interesting, huh?

Isn't that generating the exact same "extreme capitalism" you complained about earlier?
You don't get that the statement was in the fashion of "Angus", proposing something clearly not thought to be appropriate?
Of course it would lead to the undesirable use of capitalism that sabotages all of us.

/-----/ It reminds me of an episode of M*A*S*H when the 4077 couldn't get an incubator or some sort of needed medical device because it was the last one in stock and the supply sergeant wouldn't have anything to inventory if he let Hawkeye have it.

The Fed has limited ammo because the EU is defending suicidal policies and China is overextended militarily and economically. At this point any policy might deep six a multi-trillion economy.
