Is The Eu Just Another Way To Take Europe?

I already did a post on new threats, but i wanted to narrow it down a bit. Now, is the Eu just a way for for germany to take over europe again? i dont think that the Eu will give "equal rights" to all of the nations of europe. If germany squeezed its fist on the eu later on when it has almost all of europe, it would be a bloodless way to take over europe. Faster than hitler blitstrieg. The collection of europian countries is not that powerful, but a united europe is much more powerful. This united europe would be more powerful than HItlers Europe because by the time europe is in the fist of germany, everyone would be brainwashed, no gurrila warfare in yugoslavia, no french risistance. An EU army would be created, the EU would even come to rival the US, maybe make allies with china and russia.
Now it just doesnt have to be germany that has the control, it might be a collection of madmen from all over europe, or another dominant europian country. But with a united europe that would probably have some sort of extreme socialism, and how most of europe is jealous of AMerica, wouldnt this united europe be quite a threat.

Hard to figure where it will go, since the whole thing is bogged down in paper and the Brits are beginning to become very nervous about the whole idea. So too, 'new Europe' seems to be wondering if this is the right path.

From what I've seen, France and Germany have a pact going to establish hegemony on the continent. We'll see, rather they'll see.

How ironic would that be? Would that mean we wasted our effort and soldiers lives liberating France? Things that make you go hmmmm!

To do the right thing at a certain point in time is never wrong. To pull their irons out now? That would be a waste. Our problem isn't Europe, though they seem to think we are theirs. Since it isn't our problem, we can't be part of the solution.

the same thing happened in prewwii europe. the americans wanted to stay out until they absoulutly had to fight a war, and the war we fought was very, very bloody. so i do think that at least a little intervention might turn out for the better.

First, if Germany or France tried anything i dont think they would have a bloodless takeover. There would still be Patiots all over Europe fighting back.

Second, even if France did something, i dont think it was wrong of us to liberate them. Because of our parents and grandparents a generation in France lived in peace. Nothing wasteful about that.
