Is the Democratic Party waking up?

Is that how you define Medicare? People seem to really like that program.
LOL bernies plan for UH seems a bit different than Medicare.

LOL, you obviously have no idea what his plan states. Besides, that was only a portion of my point.
You mean he hasnt stated he is going to raise taxes on other people to pay for it?
Are you calling him a liar?

Is that not what Medicaid did?
As far as i know, until the ACA, there were no extra taxes on the rich. It was a flat rate for everyone that WORKED.

The ACA didn't enact extra taxes on the rich. It enacted extra taxes on the poor. But you go ahead, keep on defending trillions and trillions in never ending debt.

It required certain earners to pay an additional 1 percent in medicare taxes. Tis true.
Lol I do not defend it all. I would prefer govt to get out of it completely. Like it SHOULD be.
But you go ahead and defend the govt abusing its powers and taking over entire sectors of the economy and deleting millions of jobs.

Come up with a program where everyone can get affordable health care with the government not involved and I'll listen.

The Democrats have no one that can beat Trump. More and more Blacks have realized the Democrats have not done anything to make life better in the Inner Cities. Trump has created the lowest unemployment rate ever for Blacks. Black Small Businesses are thriving due to deregulation and loser business taxes.
Why would any American want businesses to once again be destroyed by job killing regulations and high taxes?

If the govt never got involved, healthcare would be affordable. As soon as theybgot involved, prices started going up.
Govt fucks up everything.
But back to the original point, this is having other people pay for someone elses healthcare. And it isnt like Medicare. Bernie is talking about over 50 percent rates for some and thatbdoesnt even include everything else the authoritarian wants to take over. Estate taxes on and on.

Since the day Trump was elected, I've been concerned he'd be so over-the-top that the Democratic Party's response would be over-the-top, too. Sure enough, that's what we've seen. And, predictably, ugly politics now pollute damn near every part of our society.

But I've also been hoping that just enough sanity would remain in the party that it would be able to see some boundaries. Maybe that's happening now, too: Centrist Democrats rethink alliances as Biden crumbles

This madness has spawned the rise of nutters like AOC, Talib & Omar, not to mention this largely whacko crop of "presidential candidates", especially Bernie and Warren. Maybe the more pragmatic elements of the party still have enough influence to stop the freakin' madness.

Here's hoping.

From the linked piece:
“If Bernie ends up being one of these frontrunners, he’ll have to moderate. I’m not going socialist. Never been a socialist,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said. “If he doesn’t change, I’ve got a dilemma there. We’ll see. But we’re talking about hypotheticals. I think there’s going to be a lot happening between now and then.”

The soul-searching within the establishment wing of the Democratic Party comes after Sanders solidified his frontrunner status in Iowa and New Hampshire, which produced a pair of cringeworthy finishes for Biden. The former vice president did so poorly in New Hampshire that he ditched his own election night watch party to head to South Carolina, possibly giving an opening to Bloomberg, who skipped the first four contests.

“I’m feeling a momentum shift to Bloomberg right now,” said Rep. Lou Correa (D-Calif.), who endorsed Biden in the summer and plans to stick with him.

One of the most glaring examples of the change in tide on Capitol Hill is a trio of Bloomberg endorsements from the Congressional Black Caucus on Wednesday — a not-so-subtle show of force against Biden, who remains the favored candidate among black voters nationally.

.
Wait, has the Congressional Black Caucus heard Bloomberg on tape discussing minorities?
I think the congressional Black Congress members are rich. They don't give a shit about Blacks any more than Sharpton or Jackson. They like little Mikey because they think they'll be able to panhandle him somewhere down the line. It's funny how Dems. are letting a billionaire buy their nomination.

It was government funding and involvement that created much of the medical advances of the last 100 years.

Encouraging competition and less regulation would be a step in the right direction. More regulation and getting the government more involved is the polar opposite of what needs to be done.

Wrong. The most significant advances in health care have been from the private sector.

Pharmaceutical companies are not fans of using their own money for research. They prefer taking over the governments and massively raising the prices like they did with insulin.

How exactly do you trust greed like that with doing the right thing?

Mac seems to be a limp wristed troll! :p Mac, respond to the responses you democrat nerd! :p

Slight difference is that while Trump's antics can be unusual, his policies aren't. The antics of the left's candidates may not be as unusual, but their policies will "fundamentally change the US", according to Sanders. Sorry, but people need to wake up and be adults. Get over the hatred for Trump, the person, along with some of his childish antics, and focus on his policies, which are, in a very large part, working. If one of the left gets elected, he/she may be a smooth talker and say all the things that gives you that warm, gushy feeling, but the country will collapse both economically and socially.

His policies are the same Republican Rat Poison they've been feeding us since Nixon that have destroyed the Middle Class.

He's just more open about the racism to get those last few stupid white people to vote against their own economic interests.
Name a specific racist policy.
You have posted many times that Brown people can’t manage without White people.

Anyone that would hire on and defend Stephen Miller as an advisor has problem with people of color.

I do not blame trump for democrat party insanity

blame it on entrenched marxists in the public schools molding young minds into good little socialists

but the transformation is not complete

the dems appear to be split down the middle between radicals and more centrist liberals

if bernie wins many dem voters will be turned off

but if bernie does not win the nomination the bernie bots will riot in the streets
Bernie's Brown Shirts will riot
Bernie could get the nomination

as the frontrunner he will be hard to stop

if bernie wins many dem voters will be turned off

but if bernie does not win the nomination the bernie bots will riot in the streets

I heard the same thing said when Trump won about "Centrist" republicans.

They all fell into line.
Yes, anything is possible

the level of hatred toward trump is the strongest I have ever seen so I expect a big turnout by dems
