Is Socialism Our New Nationally Established Religion?

Is democracy a religion?

Does 'democracy' tell us how we should live our daily lives?

Does 'democracy' tell us how we should indoctrinate our youth?

Does it demand courses of action that defy logic?

Does it tell us how we should interact with one another?

The direction we should take our economy?

Our foreign policy?

Democracy doesn't do any of these things.

No, democracy is not a religion. Democracy is just a simplistic concept.

Secular socialism on the other hand does try to do all these things. For secular socialism, the answer to all those questions is 'yes'.

Does that make secular socialism a religion?

I guess that really depends on your definition of the word, but as far as I'm concerned it's not there yet but it is certainly moving in that direction.

Democracy is not a religion, but for me it shares
the idea of Faith with religion- Democracy is my Holy Faith.

The evidence of history so far has been unmistakable.
Democracy provides by far the best lives for the most people.
No other system of government is in the running.
So my Faith has the backing of the past and the present.
