Once upon a time, Harry Reid used to be a boring and corrupt senator whose views were at times to the right of his own party. Then he became Senate Majority Leader. And somewhere along the way he lost his mind. The shambling crazed wreck who finally stepped down was just nuts. Even on the best of days.

What made Harry Reid go crazy? Nature or nurture. Schumer took over and he's weighing in on the nurture side. A formerly boring New York pol who understood that when the state traded down from D'Amato for him, he also had to play Senator Pothole, delivering aggressively for his constituents. Then Schumer plugged directly into the throbbing heart of the left-wing beast.

He backed Keith Ellison, voted against Ambassador David Friedman (spitting in the faces of many of his Jewish constituents) and then began going full Reid.

At this rate, how long is it before Schumer starts haunting cable news programs to deliver fantastic smears that even he will admit are false?

That wasn't just a random diner. It was Joe Califano who served under Clinton. It's BLASPHEMY for Dem leaders to have a wife that doesn't vote for a woman like Hillary Clinton. He was just performing an exorcism..

It's a sad state of affairs when Schumer is the party's voice of reason. But when you've got Nancy Pelosi dazedly blundering through interviews, Tom Perez screaming obscenities while blowing millions on failed special elections, that's all there is.

Schumer's plan to dig up FDR and appeal to the working class is an interesting relic of the 80s Dems. Like so much of the party, Schumer is showing his age. And he doesn't seem to understand which party he's in.

The entire left-wing platform is interlinked. And much of it is toxic outside the hipster enclaves that define the political agenda.

If there were national elections for senators and congressmen we would not have this problem of inbred, racist, religious douchebags voting for folks who are of their ethnic background instead of voting for someone who wants to make America great again.
