After reading through so many articles, bogs and such in this last week I'm wondering if President Obama is going to destroy the democratic beyond recognition.

The way politics is going are we going to have any viable parties left that will represent the will of the people and the constitution?

What do you all think?

Obama is definitely destroying the Republic. The way I see it, Bush set up the pins and Obama simply has to knock them down for the strike. He's doing a good job destroying what's left of the US so far. But the Democrat Party has been gradually moving to the Left for years, so they'll just become the socialist/marxist party. The GOP, which used to be America's last line of defense against the leftists has become the Democrat-lite party, so they are pretty much useless. So to answer your question, 'no', there won't be any viable parties left and the majority will be without representation. I don't know what will happen then, but it won't be pretty.

Are we really free to begin with? have we been truly free since we established the nanny state?

I've heard many dems state they wish they hadn't voted for him.

I haven't heard one Republican say they have been pleasantly surprised.

The left is on a fast rail to nowhere. Even democrats that voted for obama are pissed... and I mean PISSED! I've talked to them. What he's doing is NOTHING compared to what they expected, to what he said he was going to do. If any party has PROBLEMS right now, it's the DEMOCRAT party. Their approval rating is in the toilet and it's about to get FLUSHED! Obama is probably the BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT as a President in his first 120 days as any EVER ELECTED. And it isn't just me saying this on this blog... oh no... it's people all over America. People that wanted "CHANGE," people that voted for "HOPE," people that voted for "TRANSPARENCY"... PPPHHT... GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK... people that BELIEVED the BULL SHIT that little Barry Seotoro spread wide and deep, and now they're finding out they got FUCKED! We ALL got fucked. Because of the DUMB ASS SONS A BITCHES that were SHALLOW enough to buy the SHIT obama was spreading. I have just one thing to say to all those STUPID SONS A BITCHES... THANKS A FUCKIN' LOT YA SHIT FOR BRAINS ASS HOLES!!!

Pale, chill a bit, not all on the left voted for Obama ;) Remember Hillary had a ton of very loyal supporters. What won Obama the position was his faux charisma ... a lot on the right fell for it to, and too many in the middle did as well.

Ten years ago many people we know got fed up with the agenda the Democratic party was pushing and they went to the Republican side. I think it goes that away when someone feels disjointed from what their political party is representing. Anyhow we have a lot of Democrats that have moved their way into the Republican party. In that there is no real lines of separation. They both have sucked as they have become more demanding in control over the masses via taxation.

Kind of like Bush/McCain/Palin destroyed the Republican Party? It's a Catch 22. BOTH parties need to be thrown in the trash can, and America needs to start over with some new ones in my opinion.
Palin may be starting a Conservative/Independent Party. You can blame Bush and McCain for trashing the Republican Party.

Liberals will never admit failure. Their rallying cry will always be "It's Bushs' Fault!" Speaking of which, anyone seen "TruthMatters" lately?

How did Mccain get in that rant. Did he act too much a democrat?

Well, he is on the way towards causing a great depression as it is, the economy is a shambles and getting worse, and he has renegged on just about everything he said last year while campaigning, yet some of it is VERY similar to what he said before he ran, such as destroying the coal industry.

But but but the stimulus has worked as intended!!

I think you're on to something here. I'm not just throwing spears at the Democratic party because I don't like them. I have the same feelings about my party, the Republicians now too. I feel like that man without an island... Over the course of time I think both parties have morphed away from what their core beliefs really used to be. Maybe that's not a fair statement. I think they have put their beliefs on steroids or something. What I mean by that is both parties are taking every single issue to the extremes right now. Neither party will work together with the other to accomplish anything. Everything now is either a Dem issue or a Republician issue. The problem with this concept is that we sent the folks in congress to DC to work for us, the common guy out here in America trying his best to get by in a really quickly changing world. Congress isn't helping that process at all. I think the Democrats, although the probably mean well, are taking on too much, too fast, and spending way too much money - money that we don't have. You can't eat an elephant at one sitting. You have to take little bites here and there over time and the next thing you know is that the elephant is gone. My guess is that all of America is going to wake up one morning before too much longer and wonder just what has happened to our country and why did we allow it. I truly do believe we have problems. It is why I think it's best we get rid of all the incumbents at election time and get some new faces and new ideas into our congress be them Democrat or Republicians. We need to get rid of the dinos that have been camping out in congress forever. They hurt us more than they help us and for God's sake, somebody put a sock in Nancy Pelosi's mouth. I'm not sorry that there is at last a woman as Speaker of the House. I am sorry though, that such a bad example as her was the first woman in that post.

I think we need to get normal average everyday people to look at the way these guys/gals have been voting in order to get them moving to create an actual change for true representation of the public's wants and needs.
