That is, if America improves and prospers under Obama's Administration...is that a good thing for Republicans, whether they have little or all the control in Congress/Senate or not.

What happens to the Republicans if Obama really brings this country out of the crapper that Bush led it to?

It doesn't matter what Obama does. Haven't you read the right wing posts on this MB? He is stupid. He is responsible for all the bad things that have ever happened to our country. He has failed at everything. There is no chance he could do anything good or worthwhile...even by accident.

Yep, you're right...

But let's suppose....just for fun.

What if Obama brings the country out of the quagmire that Bush 'n' Co. left it in?

Would that be good for the Republicans?

I'd be tickled pink, and would give the man the credit.

But you need to realize that we'll have to see actual results, not just Obamabots claiming The One saved us.

Funny...so why aren't you more encouraging?

He has to end these illegal wars.

The wars were a big issue when Bush was in office but since Obama has been president the anti-war movement seems quiet.

Ending the wars and cutting defense spending, for starters, will help get the economy back on track without cutting people off who are dependent on government social programs

They aren't silent, they are more calmed and quiet, they do, however, still protest.

You see, they realize that it wasn't Obama that started these wars.

They also realize that Obama is working on and intending to bring them down.

RepubliCON$ want to have it both ways, as usual. They want to stop him from pulling out, then bash him for not.

It's the RW way. Once Obama wins that 2nd term, we'll see some real action.

President Obama is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, he can end the wars right now if he so choose.

Bush was absolutely wrong for starting these wars but Obama becomes complicit the longer he is in office and they continue on. Especially as things getting hotter with Pakistan, the Libyan strikes.

He still has time but I just don't see him doing it.

We will be told its our responsibility to stay, to finish the job, etc. etc. But really we should just come home.

Oh, so he's just been holding back on us, huh?? Riiiiight

Oh yes..The first 4 years were just batting practice. So they don't count?
Please. Obama has spent his first two and half years in office trying to kill the private sector.

What frickin success?

I'd be thrilled if the economy turned around. But it won't, not for at least 4-5 more years. We have to de-leverage from decades of mistakes and overspending. The falling real estate market is extremely deflationary. Deflation is very hard to beat.

Obama has turned out to be a very poor leader. Yes, he inherited a bad economy, but he's actually made it worse. It's not his fault entirely, but he wasted a full year ramming Obamacare through when he should have focused on the economy.

He'll have a hard time winning another term- the country is in no mood for more deficit spending or stimulus schemes.....the bag of tricks is empty. Hope and Change won't fly anymore.

It is too late. There is not enough time left.

Of course, he could always campaign on bombing muslims in Libya and Yemen and Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iraq. That should be worth one or two redneck votes.

Interesting little bit of subterfuge. We are asked if "Obama's successes" are good for republicans but after we open the dialog we find that there are no successes but only wishful thinking.

Then you'll not mind providing examples of these calm and quiet protests.
Ya know what, your calm and quiet comment spews arrogance an elitism.
"You conservatives are loud and obnoxious while we liberals are more sophisticated. We're calmed and quiet"....What's next? You're going to tell us your side sips martini's and ours drinks beer?
Just who is Obama intending to "bring down"....
What flavor Kool -Aid is that?

You're completely out of Bush did it excuses.

Obama bought and paid for the mess we are in--by shoving down our throats over a trillion dollars in economic stimulus--that really wasn't. What was PROMISED to create millions of jobs--turned into saving government workers jobs--and it went from there to Nancy Pelosi referring to unemployment checks as economic stimulus. In fact--we have lost another 1.4 million jobs since Obama signed off on his massive--flood the basement economic policy. And unemployment jumped up again last week.

He has enough people's heads us his ass.

Obama, or any Democrat, will never really succeed. The Republican party is a party of greed and far right ideology. They don't care what happens to America. They live to screw the Middle Class. Every single one of their policies is aimed at sucking another penny out of the Middle Class and turning it over to corporations. It's why they have no plan beyond "cut taxes" and "cut benefits for the Middle Class". None. Nothing to help average Americans. And when they do slash education or research, they take that "savings" and give it away to billionaires in the form of another tax cut. We are at the bottom of the barrel now. How much longer are Americans going to take it? The Republican base has an infinite capacity for abuse from their leaders.

That is a most illogical disconnected diatribe.
13 sentences of cliches and talking points. None of it you can prove with a single factual example.
FAIL.
