I don't disrespect people for their politics. I may belittle them for the way they express themselves or their lack of intellectual honesty. You have given me no reason to disrespect you on a personal level, BD and I think we've had some positive conversations. I may disagree with your views and lack respect for some you idolize, but I can't remember ever ripping you a new one.
If you feel people don't respect you, look for reasons YOU can control.
Of course, there are people who live for Fridays and the 4F and those who will flame you for your views without provocation... don't feed the trolls.
If we got past Libs are enlightened (or Communist faggots) and Conservative want to starve grandma, (or are the only real patriots) we might just be able to have a discussion.
I found Sowell's column interesting because of the comparison he made between fascism and socialism and the fact that President obama doesn't want full blown socialism because he doesn't want the responsibility for the results.
The reason I didn't attribute the article to Sowell right off the bat doesn't make the premise any less interesting.
