Hi! In discussing a matter with someone, I was led to go to the following website that contains add-ons or extensions that people can download to their computers if they have Firefox as their web browser. However, it appears to not be working or something is going on as the following message always appears when clicking on that website. It happens repeatedly and I am wondering if others are having that same problem also? Thanks.

"This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to addons.mozilla.org, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue."

I went to this website in the not-too-distant past and could connect well and it would open up. But not anymore.

JAVA does not work well with Firefox..
So it's a Java issue. I don't even have Java enabled. Yet that is strange since I used to go there fairly recently and had no problems with that site working even without Java. Hmm, that's very interesting. If you hear any more on this I would appreciate a heads-up. Thank you!

Seems like it's working right to me. Check your hosts file for malicious entries perhaps?

You might have a security program that doesn't work well with https sites...

... try taking the s out of https in the url in the address bar...

... and hit f5.

Thanks for the tip. I tried that but it will not work on FF. It keeps reverting immediately to "https://" I hit the f5 button as you suggested but was unfortunately unable to achieve what I wanted to be able to enter that website. I just have to wonder what could be the problem there.

Could be you've picked up a redirect bug or your AV is seeing the site as a threat (false positive). Which AV (anti-virus) program are you using?
