Is military conscription unconstitutional?

With so many of youths today being fat, out of shape, mama's boys (and girls), a military draft would be beneficial to the nation's health.

Eliminating the draft is at the top of a long list of major fuck-ups by the Georgia peanut farmer. It is amazing how much harm this one person managed to do in four short years.

A free country shouldn't be forcing it's children to go fight and die for their parent's political fuck-ups. Wanna go to war, you go first.

Delta, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you wrote that last comment while you were under the influence of ingesting a controlled substance.

The primary purpose of a "standing army" is to be able to exert power in diplomatic negotiations affecting the welfare of the Nation. Cops don't carry guns for the purpose of killing people; they carry guns so that they won't have to kill people.

If the Congress of the U.S. determines that a "cause" is sufficiently vital to require the commitment of troops, then yes, it is entirely appropriate to "force the children to go fight" for that cause. To say otherwise is prepostrous.

And if those "children" were drafted, rather than enlisted, I guar-an-fucking-tee Congress will look a lot closer at the "cause" before sending the troops off to fight. Partly because many of them would be the sons of the Congresspersons themselves.
