Is Jesus the Word of God?

lol... If that was true you wouldn't have been deceived by one into thinking that a story intended to teach children lessons essential to good mental health and a fruitful life was a historical document.
Where do you get the idea the Bible is a children’s story?

Where? In second grade class, as soon as the talking serpent was introduced when I first read the story of adam and eve in genesis.
Oh they pushed Greek methology at my school. You must have been in private school. But did you not pay much attention because you were asking where the talking serpents were?
No, I went to public school. Once a week I went to a religious instruction class. Fortunately for me I was learning how to get to the moral or hidden teaching of fairy tales and fables in public school at the same time. I was pretty good at it. I was paying attention.

I was asking you where all the talking serpents are. I already know. I have known since the second grade.

There was a nest of them brooding in my town, trying to get me to believe that snakes once talked.

I must have been born with a natural immunity to their poison. Many other kids did not survive.
You are the one who asked where all the talking snakes are. Didn’t sound rhetorical to me.

Sorry.. I just wanted to point out that the identity of certain animals described in scripture, the teaching, and the subjects of the stories are hidden and not necessarily directly connected to the literal meaning of the words used just like in any instructional story for children with talking animals.

In the kingdom of God, There is a world above and the world below. Every creature described from the sons of God to angels, cherubim, prophets, human beings and all the wild beasts of the field, sheep, goats, wolves, dogs, vultures, worms, ghouls, demons, devils including the talking serpent, Satan himself, at the very lowest level, are all metaphors for archetypes that reflect the heights and depths of human potential.

You didn’t finish the story of the talking serpent. God took away its ability to talk

Thats OK. Maybe no one ever suggested to you that there is a more practical lesson hidden in the fantastical story.

Think about it. When you get to the part where Jesus separates the sheep from the goats add this knowledge to your speculations and see what you come up with.

Yeah but that’s a metaphor explaining something literal.

And then Noah got 2 of every animal for his boat. So how did he get 'roos from Australia and back again?
Do you think God isn’t capable of getting kangaroos to Australia?
So it was magic? What about all the water in the flood that god used to murder nearly everyone, including babies, what that a magic trick as well?

The only animals that noah took on the ark were the people with displayed attributes shared by lower beasts described as either clean or unclean in scripture that were living in the holy land at the time.

The same types of people compared to animals described in kosher law kept in the ark of the covenant.

There were no kangaroos living in the holy land at the time. Kangaroos are irrelevant.

Anyway a kangaroo does not ruminate or have a cloven hoof so kangaroos are not kosher, whatever human archetype that kind of creature might represent according to the teaching in kosher law.

I suppose to figure it out you are going to have to think much more deeply than you are used to..

Shit! Wait a minute! you don't chew the cud, you don't have a cloven hoof... Hmmm.

Are you a kangaroo?
Okay, so if roos weren't on the boat and everyone and everything else drowned who wasn't on said boat, where do roos come from?

Australia silly.

If noah took two of every species along, where are all the talking serpents?
I have one in my pants, my wife likes to have a conversation with it and moans at it. Must be some kind of secret language for talking snakes.

Who can say? God works in mysterious ways.

Apparently you died a very long time ago, put to death by God, yet here you are playing with yourself in public.

Go to the light.

The story isn't about the salvation of animals from a catastrophic world wide flood. The story is about the preservation of the types of people that inhabit the kingdom of God, you know, lions, tigers, bears, (oh my!) sheep, goats, wolves, dogs, swine, cattle, vultures, worms, and parasites, talking donkeys and serpents included, during an extinction level event. Most likely a meteor impact over the Indian Ocean.

The roos that survived the flood remained where they always were. Just like the survivors, including animals, of the several hundred catastrophic flood myths after a month long deluge of torrential rain from every continent around the world remained in whatever region they were already living in.

Now piss off.

Yeah, well if the big bad wolf ate grandma why are grandmothers still around?

Stumped? lol....

Maybe now you can explain to me how the thousands of years old story of a catastrophic weeks long deluge of torrential rain got to every continent around the world in places that never heard about Noah if nothing happened?

Magic?

It wasn’t magic it was God and it wasn’t murder.
