Is it over and the US just doesn't know it

The big bucks know it that's why theyre getting their money OUT,

Do bear in mind that FREE TRADE not only allows goods to flow in, but it also allows US investment capital to get OUT.

There is no substituting Value for Value, unless you are suggesting the application of force.

Our national debt is a running debt we have had since the inception of the United States, starting with debts incurred during the Revolutionary War.

The U.S. has never paid off it's national debt, EVER, it is a debt that we have incurred over the past 236 years.

This is how governments work, there is not a developed nation in the world that operates without a national debt. Stop trying to use your personal experience with credit and debt and apply it to an entire nation, you simple-minded fools.
.

I couldn't agree more...

We should soon catch up to the levels of Italy, Spain and Greece

Maybe you didn't read my post? There is not a developed nation in the world that operates without a national debt

I don't know why you're comparing the U.S. to those countries, last I checked the U.S. government's credit rating was still the highest it could be... AAA (Greece's government rating gradually lowered to BBB resulting in it's debt becoming "junk" or "toxic" which made it harder for them to continue to borrow, and when a modern nation can't borrow, they can't function.).

So these countries are a horrible comparison... usually the U.S. is grouped with Germany, the U.K. and France in terms of national credit analysis. Considered the four largest debt issuing economies with AAA ratings. Interesting, do you know how well Germany's economy is doing?

This is basic stuff, you would fail macroeconomics.

Speaking of basic....

Do they not have computers or papers at whatever institution you are currently being held at for observation?

S&P, Moody's Warn On U.S. Credit Rating

Jan 14,2011

Moody's Investors Service said in a report on Thursday that the U.S. will need to reverse the expansion of its debt if it hopes to keep its "AAA" rating.

Interesting that you don't even know how the US credit rating is doing?

This is very basic stuff as well; note to self: do not let Jean invest your money

This is pretty basic stuff as well......

Did you know The Rousseauian vision holds that the collective comes before the individual, our rights come from the group not from God, that the tribe is the source of all morality, and the general will is the ultimate religious construct and so therefore the needs — and aims — of the group come before those of the individual.

Indeed, Fascism, Communism, Socialism, Progressivism and all the other collectivist groups are all based on the Rousseauian vision. Must be nice to be the "Father of Fascism"

To give you credit, perhaps you did not know this when you "picked" your character. Ignorance on your part is bliss; so we can forgive you.

Of course, if you knew this and still choose your character...
Well, we really don't have to say more on that issue
:eusa_whistle:

Your pompous arse attitude would work better, if you actually had anything to work with......
Chew on that Jean

There are some numbers that I believe don't seem to support your assertion.
See: Market capitalization of NYSE companies

According to that table the market capitalization of domestic companies traded on the NYSE keeps increasing, indicating I think an inflow of capital. For example, in 2007 the market capitalization of domestic companies traded on the NYSE was 15.4 TRILLION Dollars!

Back in 1996 it was only 6.8 trillion. So the market capitalization of domestic companies traded on the NYSE increased 9 trillion dollars in 10 years.

U.S debt to rise to $19.6 trillion by 2015 | Reuters

I found this link in the comments of the Reuters article.
All the gold ever mined & accumulated by all people around the world can currently only serve 51.65% of US debt. In the link it is also explained why they come to the 51% number.

Once the Ottomans went into fiscal bankruptcy, they had to cede exclusive trade rights to foreign powers.
Foreign powers also bought into the shares of the Ottoman FED, practically controlling the state budget.

If only we'd carved up the Ottoman empire little better. Perhaps we wouldn't have the problem of Turkey today. Insert turkey carving jokes.:eusa_whistle:
