Is it moral to have this much of the world's resources?

Typical wrong wing spin. I thought the GOP already did Welfare reform? The only welfare reform that needs to be done now is Corporate Welfare.

Welfare isn't even an issue this year stupid. The GOP bankrupted the country. Why do you care that a small portion of your taxes go to the poor but you don't care that Iraq is costing each American $30K. And that $30 is collecting interest!

Why don't you care that the GOP and Corporate America caused the housing crash and the Federal Reserve bailed them out with your fucking tax dollars?

I'll tell you why. Because they haven't sent you the bill yet.

Republicans are your fun dad. They give you the credit card and let you go wild.

Democrats are like your responsible mother. Why does she have to be the bad guy just because she is the one that makes you pay your bill?

And you have the house slave mentality. Because you aren't working in the field, you try to tell the field slaves not to buck the system. Jerk.

This is why Liberals are much much better people than conservatives.

wow your math is wacked bud. If we all gave 30k we could pay off most of our entire 11 trillion dollar debt, the War in iraq has not cost Americans Anywhere near 30k each.

But then when have you libs ever let facts get in the way or your Propaganda

30k times 300 million = what again?

30,000 times 300,000,000 americans is 9 trillion dollars, so are you claiming Iraq has cost 9 trillion or are you just ignorant?

The cost of welfare in this nation makes everything else look mighty small. It is much higher than the war to assist Iraq. Not only is it a tremendous initial expense but does damage which may be unrepairable to the mindset of the reciever of such welfare. It is so much easier to draw the government check and then steal, sell drugs or run scams to make a easy life for yourself.

I have never understood why someone would hate the rich and then go buy a lottery ticket. We all want more money for ourselves and our family. Some of us choose to work and invest to gain that money and some choose to coast through life and just occupy space. I almost forgot.....they will whine about others accomplishing things in their life. How dare anyone think they deserve so much money just because they worked hard, sacrificed their time, and invested their money?

Please define "welfare" in terms of government programs....I thought in general terms that "Welfare" was taking from one person by force and giving to another, via taxes....as far as those on the right side of the political aisle?

So, define what YOU consider "welfare" pretty please....

For example, under the definition implied above, Social Security would NOT be considered as welfare because we put this money in an insurance policy, that we know will give us x amount in return upon retirement....

But Food Stamps as example would be considered a form of welfare....

Care

Just incase the moron missed his glaring Math error. I am still waiting to hear how Iraq has cost us all 30k each or a Total of 9 trillion dollars.

"The Walton family, heirs to the Wal-Mart fortune and one of the wealthiest families in the United States, eventually could receive an estimated tax break of $32.7 billion under a proposal in the budget that President Bush submitted to Congress. The Waltons would win from a repeal of the inheritance tax. In fact, the top 1 percent of income earners would continue to benefit from tax breaks in the budget. The losers: seniors on Medicare, veterans seeking health care, home owners struggling to pay heating bills, grandchildren stuck with cleaning up all the red ink Bush has spilled... It is a "disastrous budget" Senator Bernie Sanders told the White House budget chief at a Senate hearing. The senator lamented what he called the budget's "lack of moral values."

WASHINGTON — The Iraq war will cost Americans between $3 trillion and $5 trillion, including military spending, broader economic costs and decades of benefits and medical care for combat veterans, a Nobel prize-winning economist told the Joint Economic Committee on Thursday.

And this number keeps growing my friend.

I may have made an error, but that doesn't mean I won't be right when it is all said and done. If McCain gets into office, I will be correct.

How much do we spend a year in Iraq? Multiply that by 100 years fuck face.

You do know they tax lottery winnings around 50%, right? And if i win the lotto, I might become a greedy bastard and start complaining about all the taxes I pay, but I would like to think I would not.

Prove Welfare costs more than Iraq.

And, at least welfare checks get spent here in America. If the $600 Bush just sent me is going to stimulate the economy, why would you think Welfare doesn't?

He conservatively estimates that the war — by disrupting the oil rich Persian Gulf — has raised oil prices by about $10 a barrel, a hike that is already costing Americans nearly $250 million a day.

Since the federal government has been running budget deficits since before the war began, Stiglitz estimates that the government has borrowed $1 trillion — much of it from overseas lenders — to finance the war. By 2017, he said, the country will have added $2 trillion to the national debt to cover Iraq war expenses. That means additional interest payments for taxpayers.

"American families will be footing the bill ... for a long, long time after President Bush returns to Texas to clear brush full time," said Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas.

yep. but hey if you think that is wrong be sure to send me all your extra money!

I have no idea how much the tax is on a lottery ticket. I pay a 1/3 to the federal government. I also pay property taxes for the county and school to operate.

Anyone that does not pay taxes and sends their kids to a public school is collecting welfare. The free lunch for those children is welfare. The ride on the school bus for those children is welfare. Personally I have no problem in helping these children as I am well aware for them to climb out of this dependency they must have an education. The parent's dependency in allowing someone else to pay for their children generally keeps their children down but the children should at least have a chance to make something of themselves.

Public housing for individuals accross this land is a major expense for us tax payers. I agree that for the handicap and the children this is a neccessary thing. Not all that use the public housing are unworthy but there are many that are worthless.

Food stamps are also a major expense. Many are appreciative and deserving of this system. It is amazing to me just how many unbelievably obese people are on food stamps. This in itself would make us question what is going on with that money.

Medicaid is an expense that has climbed to an unbelievable height. Anyone that works in the emergency room of a hospital will tell you some real stories. The emergency rooms are flooded with very minor illnesses and injuries that take time away from people that really have a health problem in many cases. It does not matter the seriousness of the illness Medicaid is expensive to all that pay taxes.

There is a tremendous amount of money paid out if not in the form of a check, in one of the many many many services. Whether this money is given by the state or federal government the bottom line is it comes from tax payers like me.

Ya just gotta love our big-hearted liberals for their fine charity work.....

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.

Poor people who do not have money to pay for doctor visits have no choice but to go to the ERs where they must be seen, regardless of their ability to pay.

First off it says will cost, not has cost it is debatable that it will ever cost so much. Second even at the high figure of 5 trillion it is not 30k per person as I have already shown 30k per person is 9 trillion dollars Even if the cost is 5 trillion at some point in the distant future it still only adds up to 16,600 dollars each and thats over many many years if it is 15 years then it is just over 1000 a year per person. I dont know about you but I pay much more than that in taxes every year.

You can pretend it is just a small error on your part, I call it an out right lie. That is what you get for just repeating propaganda instead of thinking for yourself, but keep trying bud you will get it right some time.

Americans do those jobs. There are just more jobs than there are workers.
More proof that we aren't in a recession.

I am just curious to what percentage of income a person should give that refuses to work. There are many that fit into this group.

People who refuses to work? Who are they I wonder? Lazy people, yes, but most want to work. Look at the immigrant experience, they are so far down that taking any job is worth much danger and labor.

The cost of so called socialistic entitlements is 4% of each tax dollar, not much when you think of it.

I recently saw the statistics on New York and that statement is way off the mark. I don't have time to look it up but the ratio was very high, not nearly enough jobs and then is the pay and location of any job a possibility for the working poor.
