You wouldn't notice CH4 by itself is a potent GHG, with a 100 year GWP rating, of 24, but a 20 year GWP rating, of 72, which will be a better reflection of how the CH4 is playing out, since it will exhaust OH- ions, which help break the methane down, into CO2 and H2O.

The methane will stay around, more, as more comes out. If a plume blows up, hey! A plume blows up! The planet will get hot enough, for wildfires to damage the human habitat, whether or not some big fartball blows up, but don't completely count that eventuality out. Heard of lightning?

Well is it? Tell us why it's stupid to ask the question before we turn the economy upside down with the definition of your breath being a toxic pollutant?

Or are you saying it's stupid to ask because you'd have to ignore basic science to classify it in the same league with SOx NOx, arsenic and radioactive fly ash?

It's VERY interesting --- but generally I'm down on tree ring readers. It's just a tad more sophisticated than tea leaves. But the conclusions about Earth Orbit and the SUn.. My gosh, that's gonna get panties in a knot...
