Now..as to the OP..no..I don't think that CNN nor the MSM are useful idiots..insofar as promulgating Communism. I would make the argument that social media is far more useful....in that regard. It is a fact that our society has shifted left as the demographic has gotten younger and more diverse. MSM is all about the money..they pander to those who they think pay the bills. Many posters here seem to see a grand conspiracy in what i see as the logical progression of our culture. An example is the hinted shift of Fox to a more Centrist position..as they see the demographic, and their money machine, shifting to the left a bit.
Do the owner/publishers have agendas/ of course they do..nothing new there. The main motive for most owners of media outlets is the power to speak and be heard..the 'bully pulpit' in miniature, as it were. Hearst was classic example of that. I see the MSM as a reflection of our polemic..not so much of an actor.

Now, if you want to discuss Fabian Socialism and the concept of Gradualism, as it applies to our society..I would grant more than a few points--but not as some great conspiracy..but as some smart people in the past who saw the inevitable--as regards our society. Good or bad? Outside the scope of this OP.

To wrap it up..I believe that the shift to the left is inevitable..and that a lot of the hue and cry is silly, just people, mostly older, railing against the inevitable. Sorry for your luck Chuck, Ike ain't coming back.

MSM reflects this..and while I'll grant them a motive, I think it is financial and not philosophical.
