Is Biden fit to serve as president if something were to happen to Obama?

Why don't we allow the American voters decide that?

Right now it looks like another overwhelming victory for Obama/Biden

Thaw what happens when you run a second rate candidate against an incumbent

Gallup disagrees.

President Obama has a formidable lead in electoral votes. The November election is a foregone conclusion

They said the same thing in Sept 1980 - how Carters reelection was "a foregone conclusion."

Biden is much more qualified to be President than Romney

Of course, as Vice President, he is closer to being President than Romney will ever be

The race hasn't even begun, Winger. Let's see how Barry does defending his record on the economy and what his plans are for the future. "Vague" isn't going to work this time around...he's going to have to actually be held accountable for what he's DONE...not what he promises he'll do.

would be redundant

common knowledge

Afraid it is not

Because of the Iranian hostage crisis, Carters popularity plummeted in his last year. By September of 1980, he was dead meat

And the killer-rabbit..

Even with all of that - Carter still enjoyed a significantlead over Reagan in Sept 1980

Started to turn around wihen Reagan said "I paid for this microphone" to George HW Bush..."

Then chose him as his VP running mate

$64,000 question.

Oh god no. Lol

But I happen to believe that the President is a highly manufactured government tool who is propped up by many people. So with that in mind, Biden can't be any worse than Obama.

That alone didn't sink him but it was one of the nails in the coffin. Carter also had a weak, lack luster stock market, high gas prices plus extreme gasoline shortages, double digit inflation, and double digit interest rates, and high employment to deal with. Presidents don't fare well with that kind of misery index.

And Carter didn't have a press as willing to downplay or ignore the problems and wasn't as slick as the current Administration appears to be in cooking the numbers to make them look better than they actually are.

Dukakis was leading George HW Bush around Aug 1988 in all of the polls - until the tank demonstration

True..

Runaway inflation, 20% interest rates and the Iranian Hostage Crisis made it impossible for Carter to beat Reagan.

He'd be a fine president, a foreign policy expert- and better than any bought off mega rich Pub panderer to the rich, I don't understand how you people can be so ignorant and misled, or humorless on Biden for that matter. Change the channel. Health Reform is big fucking deal btw, dupes. Most popular program immediately, as soon as you find out how it works, chumps...LOL You ARE clueless.

Exactly!

In 1980 Reagan was declared to be an "amiable dunce". As opposed to Carter who brought 18% inflation, roughly the same rate of interest rates, unprecedentedly high unemployment, and a bungled rescue attempt of American hostages, who were quickly released the day after the "amiable dunce" was inaugurated.

The question that demolished the peanut farmer could be applied with equal effectiveness today:

Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?

Biden served 36 years in the Senate and chaired the Judiciary and foreign relations committee. He has also served three years as Vice President

In spite of the fact that Republicans hate him as they hate all Democrats....he is much more qualified to be President than any current Republican

With all due respect, Winger...Joe Biden has spent the past three years demonstrating that he's a complete idiot. Yes, he's "served three years as Vice President" but for much of those three years he's been a non-stop gaffe machine.

Being in the Senate for 36 years just proves he's in a heavily Democratic State...not that he's competent.

I'm amused by the time and effort that was spent to "prove" that Sarah Palin was an idiot yet none of those same people seem to have a problem with Joe proving HE'S an idiot on an almost daily basis. I think Joe Biden took the train home every night because it couldn't get lost. Face it, he's NOT a bright man.

Joe Biden said utterly disgusting racist things about Barack Obama.
So did Hilary Clinton and her husband.

If the target of their racist hatred had any integrity, there would be a different Vice President and a different Secretary of State today.
