Hey liberals, if your Savior says that we are responsible for each other, then why is it that you all are less likely to be charitable than us evil conservatives who obviously hate the old and poor?

You guys preach it. WE practice it. I guess you guys don't really care about giving to the needy, you only care about having money taken from those who are better off than you in the name of charity.

Disgusting liberals. How dare you preach that we need to be responsible for each other's actions, all the while you people actually are less charitable than conservatives? Obama preaches that he doesn't need a tax cut? Well guess what? There is a site on the fed's web page where a citizen can donate to the national debt. I haven't seen Obama writing a check to give back the tax break he didn't want? In fact, I haven't seen ANY left wingers writing checks to donate to the federal government all the un-taxed money they don't need.

this was a load of shit 3 years ago, and it remains a load of shit.

I posted a link showing it's true.

Your link showing it's a "load of shit"?

I suggest libs start practicing not only what they preach, but also practicing what conservatives already do rather than telling the MORE charitable of us how we should be more responsible for each other.

Kinda like a fat guy in a chair preaching fitness to the skinny guy on a treadmill, ya know?

The book goes on to show that of the 25 states that give the most to charity, 24 of them were won by Bush in 2004.

Come on libs, you can do better than this. You libs need to realize that we are all responsible for each other hahahahaha!!

no, you posted an opinion piece by george will with cherry picked *facts* and a highly suspect study.

i suggest some conservatives start practicing what they preach and mind their own fucking business.

either that, or get out of the chair and get on the treadmill.

We are trying to "mind our own business".

The problem is, there are hordes of liberals who want to take more of our money away from us by force in order to force us to subsidize bad decisions of others.

So.....it's hard to mind our own business, when liberals are always poking their ideology into our business. Leave us alone, and we'll mind our own business. But it's hard to do that when the Most Powerful Man in the World, and #1 liberal, states to the world that we are responsible for each other.

We'll mind our own business when you get out of our business. And btw, that link was to a man who analyzed many non-partisan studies of charitable givings, not just an opinion piece. And the findings are true.

But again....it's hard to mind our own business when the president states it's his business to take more from us in the name of what he considers our responsibility to give to others who make bad decisions.

Just read your post a 2nd time, and am blown away by the irony.

A liberal, whose ideology preaches using government force to take money from citizens for the "common good", telling a right winger who wants less of that intrusion to "mind his own business".

Just wow.

Ah, allow me to correct your label: Communist? Socialist? Democrat?

I've seen enough of your posts to know where your ideals stand.

it would probably be helpful to you if you actually knew the definitions of words so you had some idea of reality.

hint: you're not a conservative.

Haha, attack my intelligence. SO ORIGINAL:cuckoo:

I love the way right wingers attempt to describe what liberalism is so they can then fault it.

Here's some of the myths they like to foist onto liberalism

1. Liberal claim to be pacifists... (some of them perhaps are...that doesn't make them liberals, though)

2. Liberals claim to be more charitable (some of them might be, that doesn't make them liberals though)

3. Liberals love government and authoritarian control ( No, liberalism don't trust government, it just trusts representational government's in control more than they trust authoritarian corporations' in control)
