I think if my son had been killed, I'd be very upset. I can however see where this might work. Comments?

they gotta do what they gotta do... there is a difference between the insurgents and "terrorists" at least in my thinking

if it makes iraq stable... its all worth it in the end

Well in this instance, I think the actions might be the same. However, the level of committment can be very different. If things are improving, some might want to drop their 'insurgency' and get with the mainstream. Time will tell....

I am not buying this. I understand the reasoning behind it,but to let people go that killed U.S. soldiers that were there to free their country to free their county is out of line to me. I also think that Iraq is a horrible place to try this since it has become a terrorist jackpot over there. It has taken too much work and too many lives with too few thanks to just let these men go.

I think it is the unfortunate price we have to pay for the greater good that can occur and the benefits we get from having Iraqs govt in charge. It in NO WAY diminishes the sacrifice these troops have made. Justice for the murderers may come in a different form.

I hope so. I think it is good that the death penalty will be reinstated. I get the feeling that their death penalty punishments may be harsher than ours. They allready say that Saddam will probably be hanged. Good for them.
