Last week, Brazil’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Antonio Patriota, reminded Ban Ki-moon regarding his role as UN Secretary General. it referred to the issue of criminal actions in derogation of international law.

"One sometimes hears the expression, 'all options are on the table.' But some actions are contrary to international law" Patriota told UN Secretar General Ban Ki-moon.

This declaration was reported by Yahoo News, which explains the context:

Patriota's comments come as the United States, United Kingdom and Russia have asked Israel both privately and publicly not to carry out a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. This article implies that only Israel has uttered such threats. Yet, President Obama himself said that “all options are on the table”, a warning also issued by other U.S. officials from both his and the previous administration.

Iran is guilty of thousands or attacks against Israel, thousands of violations of Israel's territorial integrity, over more than three decades through it Arab proxies, Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and in the context of this history, ongoing attacks against Israel, threats to destroy the state of Israel, explicit and implied, from the highest levels of the Iranian government, as Israeli attack against Iran's nuclear weapons and long range missile programs would clearly be an act of defense and completely legal under international law.

Do US and Israel want an excuse to start a war with Iran, and need to make it look like Iran started the hostilities, so it is more difficult for Russia and China to support Iran?

Israel has a past history of attacking US war ships and framing others, to trick the US into attacks on Israel's enemies.

The USS Enterprise is on her last legs and scheduled to be decommissioned next year. Decommissioning a nuclear air craft carrier is a very expensive process. The 8 nuclear reactors must all be disposed of as nuclear waste material.

The navy would save a great deal of money if the USS Enterprise was sunk in the Persian Gulf.

Why send an ancient war ship into harms way?

False flags can be preventing by alerting the public to the possibility, so the story would not be believable.

Israel Air Force test pilots are flying MIG 29 jets and conducting dogfights against the IAF's F-16 fighters, Israel TV Channel 2 revealed last Wednesday. The MIG 29, developed by the soviets in the 1970s, is one of the best fighter jets used by eastern and Arab countries, as well as by Syria and Iran. It was developed to counter American-made jets such the F-16 or F/A-18.

The Jerusalem post, which printed the story this week, claims that the jets were loaned to Israel by an unnamed foreign country. It is not the first time that Israeli fighter pilots tested Russian aircraft. One of the most dramatic stories happened in a major intelligence coup, the Israeli Mossad stole an Iraqi MiG-21 in 1966, its active pilot flying it to a secret airbase in Israel.

A test jet is just like a regular one, except for special sensors which cover literally every aspect of its mechanical and electronic systems and can be monitored from the ground for assessment, a senior test pilot explained.

An additional experiment conducted recently by the air force involved loading an F-16 with weapons to its utmost capacity, or "flight in a heavy formation," as the test pilot labeled it. The experiment was meant to measure the pilot's safety and the fighter's capability when it was carrying the maximum amount of armaments.

A jet so armed might be used in a long-distance sortie. The pilots interviewed would not name which foreign countries might be the targets of such sorties, but it was clear the main target of such an ambitious mission would be Iran's nuclear installations.

Iran wants to be the Lord Protector of the Gulf States, and the major voice for the greater Middle East Region and its policies. It wants to be a force that moves out/ejects the non-Islamic Military Hegemony that the US represents. But there is no reason to believe that with, or without, a Nuclear Military Capability, Iran would unleash such a weapon; even on Israel.

What it does want is parity with Israel; to achieve a balance of power. And this is a critical point of disagreement.
