Iran is getting really peeved at the EU reps. Seems they aren't giving them the incentives they want, in spite of their pledge NOT to stop the enrichment process.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time:

the Europeans pretty much admit that the US is the stick. And hello
yes they coordinate. Nobody wants the Iranians to go nuclear.

Still the Bush team has to convince the EU that its time
to play hardball and bring on the economic sanctions if Iran
does not convincingly ends its nuke program soon.

I predict, Western sanctions and Israeli jets over Iran end of this year. :firing:

There is no way to convince the EU of anything. They have their agenda and they are sticking to it.

Hardly, "nosarcasm". The agenda is blocking US hegemony.

despite what the French believe they do not run the EU alone.

And if for a second we assume that there is something like an EU goal
and that they want to block US hegemony it would have to go something
    like this.

    Build a aircraft carriers.

End the British/Dutch - US special relations.

Invest more money in Defense instead of cutting the budget every year.
Currently Germany spends less on the army then the Us on the CIA.

Build a military alliance with Russia instead of supporting the pesky
    democracy movement in the Ukraine.

advocate social market economy (aka socialism) as an alternative system to
the US advocated market economy nope. They cut their
little security systems all over the place. And the EU plans for enhancing
their economy could be from the US playbook.

    Withdraw troops from Afghanistan

Kick out US troops out of Europe.

What did they do that the Us did not approve of:

    Supply weapons to China check

Block the Us in the UN security council check

opposition to the war in Iraq. check (except Britain and Italy and Poland etc)

Nah them fools don;t play for world supremacy.

I agree with most of what you wrote above, though if France is NOT to dominate the EU, another must stand up to block their attempts, which so far has failed to happen with the exception of some of the Eastern members/aspirants.

The deal that the French led EU with assistance from Putin are rolling with, I'm certain in an attempt NOT to have to pay the costs incurred by the above is to tie the US down with 'international approval' for every conceivable circumstance.
