It was my welding business. The housing crash and the economy ruined the business. When I was in the navy I was a welder. When Iwas going to college, I worked for a shop where I drove a truck with a welder in the back and went around town doing welding jobs.
I tried in 2006 to start this job up as my own business. Started doing pretty well for about 13 months then jobs dried up. Fortunately I didn't quit my full-time job. I still have the truck and the welder. If Romney gets elected maybe there is still hope.

I'll be 57 in two months, I could see myself supplementing my retirement pay down the road by doing some welding jobs.

Personally, I don't see an issue here. The guy was at work and wearing clothes. It makes for a somewhat amusing two minute read. But when all is said and done,

If the government has little to do with whether or not a business succeeds....why does it matter who the POTUS is when it comes to you re-starting the business?

Because the tax dollars which pays for the common good and infrastructure have to be managed by an administration, which needs a leader.

Because my customers need a good or growing economy to do their work before they will need my services. Obama is the private sector's enemy. He has said so and his actions back that up. If obama is re-elected, the economy will continue to limp along if not outright collapse.

When Obama made that remark he spat right in the face of every small business owner and entrepreneur in America! Now, some small business men and women may be partisan enough, or hypocritical enough, or submissive enough "or "respectful" enough to just take that, or even politely applaud it; I am none of those things. When I was in the military I had to respect the rank, if not the individual wearing it, but as i private citizen, I don't have to do that anymore, and I'll be damned if I will.
I have ZERO respect for the hateful opinion of an arrogant, socialist, intellectual snob, "community organizer", law professor and political hack who has never even done an honest day's real work in his sorry, pathetic little life, much less ever built and run a successful business of ANY kind, and I'll say so loud and proud, so here's my response:
Hell no, Mr. Obama, I built my business with my own effort, ingenuity, and money I invested back into it; money from which government at every level had taken more than its share of taxes. Don't tell me what government "gave me", because I (unlike many in your party's parasite constituencies), actually PAID for it. In addition, unlike yourself, I have not only paid taxes for defense of this nation; I have put my life on the line in battle for it. How dare you condescend to lecture me on what I "owe"! Government did not build my business, your party did not build my business, and YOU, sir, most certainly DID NOT build my business! I built my business; I worked for it and I own it, and I will not sit in silence while YOU LIE about that, in a transparent attempt to justify taking even more of the fruits of it with which to buy more votes for yourself and your party! Now go piss on someone else, because you are not going to piss on me!
