Oftentimes truth is stranger than fiction. I was just watching an episode of Your Worst Nightmare. These two sisters thought their house was haunted because of strange happenings. Their father thought they were just making shit up. Then one day he found a guy in the house wearing war paint, a wig and his deceased wife's wedding dress. Oh, and he was wielding an axe.
He ran out of the house and called the police. When the police searched the house they found the perp hiding under the stairs. Not only that he had apparently been living under the stairs and in their crawlspace for months.

I think I'm going to go check my crawlspace. Maybe the attic too.
