Nobody is getting hysterical and I'd hardly call it a strawman. Both procedures involve removing a small piece of skin. Both are religious practices. One is prohibited and the other is not and yet the accusation is that San Francisco is a horrible "nanny state" for introducing a bill to prohibit circumcision. I'm pointing out that it is just a bit hypocritical when other forms of genital mutilation ARE prohibited.

I truly believe that many of these loons are such hypocrites as a way to deal with their guilt in supporting the slaughter of an innocent life.Yet Socialists/Progressives just love killing babies. I don't think they should go as far as banning it, but just to better educate the public on it (Dear lord how I wish we as Americans would do this with everything else as well).
The health benefits to having a circumcised penis are very slim. A little good hygiene is all that's needed to prevent any infections. While it's not completely unnecessary, it is something that Americans do simply as a matter of tradition and fact. We know nothing else so we do it without question. In fact, we are really the only country that does it on such a large scale, in other countries it's a minor religious matter. And other countries don't have rampant penile decay, so the health benefits of circumcision are obviously over exaggerated.
