Indian removal, would you have been for or against?

I feel safe saying the world is a better place for Abe Lincoln deciding against South Carolina's rights. I'll say the world is probably (99.99999% sure!) a better place thanks to a strong democratic United States having the industrial capacity and manpower stretching from sea to shining sea affords her.

None the less. In 18xx with virtually any of the Indian treaties we used military might to make right. I'm very pragmatic, by 1820 I would have known the momentum of "manifest destiny" was the difficult to resist. I would also have felt the U.S. was one of the best nation for civil rights around at the time.

Still think I would have argued "At least stand up like a man Mr. Jefferson and say we're just taking it". Or maybe I would have been pragmatic and lied.
