Independent's Day?? Is an "Independent Coalition" even possible?

My good buddy sent me this link. It's a group that is attempting to organize an "Independent's Day... essentially one mass exodus from the Republican/Democrat party. Personally, I think all of the hemming and hawing over the two party system is a tad... overdone. Read the description on the group, this Matt Walsh guy has a flare for the dramatic, but I think the whole thing os exaggerated. Although I have always said that the only way for the independent's to ever have a chance would be for them to somehow work together.

Although it's possible, the most successful (to use the term loosely) have flown apart as they've devolved into factions.

The two most notable of recent history being the Libertarian Party and Perot's Independence Party.
