As much as the prudes and religious folks that claim that porn is bad and leads to crimes, studies show otherwise. But I know the deep seeded reason why the ultra religious people hate sexuality, its because they believe they should feel guilty for having sexual thoughts, which are completely normal, and quite strong, biological phenomenon.

But what do the data say? Over the years, many scientists have investigated the link between pornography (considered legal under the First Amendment in the United States unless judged “obscene”) and sex crimes and attitudes towards women. And in every region investigated, researchers have found that as pornography has increased in availability, sex crimes have either decreased or not increased.

Surprisingly few studies have linked the availability of porn in any society with antisocial behaviors or sex crimes. Among those studies none have found a causal relationship and very few have even found one positive correlation.

Religious people hate porn and such because it reduces their control.

Also the old if I can't do it you can't either.

Just wait until techology evolves to a realistic "touch" interface.

Most men won't leave the house at that point.

will marriage dissappear?

Very interesting question - you might enjoy this this read:

The Misandry Bubble

I don't agree with alll of the author's prognostications (i.e., I doubt most men want to be single dads) - but his analysis of the current situation in the U.S. is quite fascinating and pretty spot on in many aspects.

If they did isn't it there right to believe that? No one is ever said that you can't fuck anything you don't want to or not look at any porn that you wish to look at. That is just their belief and they are entitled to have that and they are entitled to preech it to others just as you are entitled to exploit pan-sexualism to promote your communist war against the burgouise.

Liberalism defends the free choice of someone to make whatever decision over their own lives that they want and that includes being exploited by endorsing pan-sexualism to promote a war against the burgouise or the other extreme of only having sex after marriage. Liberalism defends the freedom of all to be whatever they want in any aspect of their lives so you, supposingly* being a liberal, should be aware of that.

BTW, I don't actually think that porn causes more crime but even if it did it still should not stop people from looking at the porn they want. Its like saying reading certain hate group literture causes more crime. Well it might but you still have the right to read whatever you want and believe whatever you want.

It looks like Gregg is a pervert, defending his porn. How sickening. :) Just kidding.

I agree with the premise of the thread. I would have to imagine that having the harmless outlet (giggity) of porn would prevent otherwise possibly violent offenders to seek the real thing. Or at least it would prevent more violent offenders than it creates/encourages. That'd be an awfully hard point to prove though as you can't really tell who would otherwise be a sex offender without having the porn at their disposal unless you banned all porn. And even then, bans don't work universally.

Please show me where I said they couldn't or shouldn't believe that, nor state their beliefs? I'm just showing that their lame argument of "but it leads to crime" is faulty, which you often here. Instead of simply stating their real reasons for not wanting it, they just don't like it, which frankly wouldn't hold any water, so that's where the lies come in

I just love that some believe it is a sin to watch porn but they have to watch it so they can tell others not to.

Well, i could see where it might "wet someone's appetite" per se, giving someone that last little push to go out and possibly rape someone. But like i said in my previous post, i agree with you for the most part. If it leads to crime in some instances, i'm guessing it prevents crime in more instances.

Going to work and attending church means less sex crimes too. In fact, just about anything you do, other than commit a sex crime will keep you busy NOT commiting a sex crime. Why don't you sleep on that (while not commiting a sex crime).

Unless you are a preacher....

Huh...

Of course 'studies show' that adult/child sexuality can actually be good for some kids...

"A Meta-Analytic Examination of Assumed Properties of Child Sexual Abuse Using College Samples" concluded just that...

Naturally, the reaction to that 'study' was such that the APA has since determined that they may have gotten that wrong...

The point being that theProgressive proponents of sexual hedonism have always had their opinions; and as is the case here... those opinions represent unsound reasoning which can only produce unsustainable policy... And such policy will always, as it CAN ONLY result in CULTURAL REGRESSION... forcing the culture to re-learn the lessons that established those archain mores in the first place.
