Incompetent United Air Lines Physically Drags Passenger Off Plane For Their (Airline) Mistake

Its not up to them to decide that. And it seems there was no violation of the contract like you are assuming. Nobody of any substance has been able to prove a violation of the COC. Sorry. Flight crew members know that passengers have to listen to what they say and if they don't they can be removed. So in fact they knew they were NOT in violation.

LEO who were told that a passenger refuses to deboard an aircraft do what they are told. It's not their job to ask the airline to get out the COC and see if what they are doing is in accordance with their contract.
Even airlines have to be legal to our own laws.

A passenger refused the offer the airline made; no, means, no.

Could you be more dense? No means no, how stupid can you be?
Not stupid enough to have only fallacy for rebuttal. Are you ceding the point and the argument?

You're in too deep now, just go ahead and admit it, it's their plane and they don't have to carry you...
It you were right, Dao would not be in a position to gain millions.

And you're dumb enough to believe he deserves it, have you had your hand out since birth or when you started kindergarten?

Oh, look -- the security officers lied on their reports, saying Dao was swinging violently with fists. How fortunate is Dao that there's video evidence that doesn't show that he did that?

United Airlines incident: David Dao swung fists violently, officers' reports say - CNN.com

Do you have proof the security officers lied? Because I have yet to see a single video that showed the entire incident from start to finish. I only saw bits and pieces. He wasn't swinging by the time they drug him away because he hit his head on the armrest acting like an idiot and about knocked himself out.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want that gay felon moron anywhere near me or any of my family members acting as a "doctor".

That being said, I'm glad they changed their policy. They shouldn't do what they did to that man, even though legally they could. But it still doesn't change the underlying fact that if a flight crew member tells you to disboard, you must do so. Notice their policy reads that they will "no longer request that a passenger deplane once boarded." It doesn't say that they CAN'T do that.

If the owner of the airplane, or a representative of the owner, i.e. flight crew members, tell you to get off, you get off. Post 9/11 you're an idiot if you buck the system like he did. There is no contract on the planet that says that once you pay for a ticket and sit your little pretty ass down in a seat that you can't be removed for any reason the airline chooses.

When you run the tail number of that airplane, the name that comes up on the registration has ultimate control of that airplane at all times. No COC or any other document will change the fact that if they say get off, get off. You can get your money back, but that's it. No airline is under any obligation to fly your happy ass anywhere. They WANT to, because that's how they make money, but they don't HAVE to.

United has admitted they were wrong and is changing policy because of their mistake. A little late however they are owning up to a bad situation and maybe they won't get sued.

"Do you have proof he was 'acting like an idiot' and knocked 'himself' out?"

Same thing. Welcome to the alt-fact farm, where you just pick your own and run with it.

Apparently United Airlines also believes he deserves it, huh. Oopsie.

That's why this thread is a psychoanalyist's wet dream --- all parties agree who's at fault, and you wags go on trying to get a client who's already pled guilty off the hook, Bizarro. :cuckoo:

Plenty of witnesses to the incident

I haven't seen one who stood up for security

So I go into the restaurant, get seated at a table, look over the menu. Looks good. I order my appetizer and main dish. Ten minutes later the waiter comes back and instead of my appetizer he's got security goons and demands I GTFO because the restaurant staff decided they're hungry and want my table....

Aaaand cue corporapologists........

"But wait" they'll say, "that's not the same thing!".

Point taken. I haven't paid for my purchase yet, whereas Dao already did pay for his.

^ Decent analogy.

United fucked up that's all there is to it. As far as the consumers are concerned anything that happened /after/ they decided their crew was more important than paying customers is irrelevant. I hope they get put under frankly. (Though I don't see it happening, people have such short memories...)

Oh? You were self-sufficient when you were 5 years old, were you? <smh>

And if course he deserves it. All the parties involved agree. Who cares if you disagree with airport security or United Airlines? Their opinion matters. Yours? Not at all.

I see his hand, open, holding on to the seat in front of him. There's no visual evidence his hands were in closed fists and swinging violently.

Oh have I now.

Yes it's apparent, you've made it quite clear Dr. Dao's refusal to deplane was justified, yet the 3 passengers who did are corporatist ass kisser's based on your logic, no link nessesary...

So you don't have one. Pulled it out your ass, what a shocker. Shocker I tell ya.

For your next link, why don't you identify these "3 passengers who did". That oughta be a hoot.

The airline took the cheapest way out. Give him a few nickels or throw money at lawyers to defend yourself and when you win, not being able to recover the money from the defendant. It would also look bad, bad PR would cost them far more than paying off the screaming weasel.

Settling doesn't admit fault, and I'm pretty sure the paperwork states that explicitly. When I was run into from behind on my motorcycle the insurance company wouldn't settle unless I signed a paper saying they were not admitting fault, simply settling the case out of court. Even though it was clear their client was at fault, she hit me from behind at a stop light.

LOLOL

Your denial runs deep.

UA didn't just settle, they publicly admitted they were wrong and that Dao was not at all at fault for what transpired.

Hate to break the news to ya (not really), but nothing you say can make Dao guilty of anything in light of that.

Why did the flight crew believe they had legal orders to violate a contract? Even States are proscribed that authority.

He already had a ticket and was seated. It should have been, volunteers first, then, last in, first out.

Having nothing but repeal instead of better solutions at lower cost, is "freeloading"; only the right wing believes it has any worth, in the non-porn sector.

I'm talking about a 70 seat aircraft like United Express 3411, not an Emirates A380 with 500+ seats.

Insult away, I can take it.
NOPE! Don't argue with old people or teenagers. You can hang onto your dignity.
OMG...I just watched him being drug off of plane and he is worse than reported before. He is screaming and screaming, goes limp when he realizes his is getting off....and it was his fault that he hit his head!!!! Those of you that don't see that, get your eyes and your head checked. That was bat shit crazy going down that aisle.
That will come out in the trial. Dao's behavior reflects poorly on him as a doctor. I wouldn't want him to be treating me.
Doubtful there will be a trial.
I agree. UAL will throw some money at Dao to avoid more bad PR and Dao will take a plea deal on the Federal and State charges.

In the end, most people will forget this incident but Dao's shattered reputation as a doctor will take another beating.
LOLOL

How are those "federal and state charges" coming along?
