Inauguration, then and now

so how much was president bush's total cost of his inaugeration festivities, including the close states and dc security costs WHICH IS NOT MENTIONED in the article about president bush's inaugural costs??? Only the 40 million for the ball etc is mentioned???

how can anyone 'compare' anything without apple to apple figures?

I posted it further up the thread...or maybe it was in another thread. Bush's last inauguration also included 115 million in government costs...and his was only for 400,000 people, not the two million expected for Obama's. I have a feeling not many poor, lower income, or middle class people cared to attend Bush's inaguration.

Normally I'd object to this kind of spending myself, but times almost demand it to give the economy a boost.
