ATLANTA – U.S. Hispanics can expect to outlive whites by more than two years and blacks by more than seven, government researchers say in a startling report that is the first to calculate Hispanic life expectancy in this country.

The report released Wednesday is the strongest evidence yet of what some experts call the "Hispanic paradox" — longevity for a population with a large share of poor, undereducated members. A leading theory is that Hispanics who manage to immigrate to the U.S. are among the healthiest from their countries.

A Hispanic born in 2006 could expect to live about 80 years and seven months, the government estimates. Life expectancy for a white is about 78, and for a black, just shy of 73 years.

New Census Milestone: Hispanics to Hit 50 Million
Thursday, March 24, 2011 Washington (AP) - In a surprising show of growth, Hispanics accounted for more than half of the U.S. population increase over the last decade, exceeding estimates in most states. Pulled by migration to the Sun Belt, America's population center edged westward on a historic path to leave the Midwest.
The Census Bureau on Thursday will release its first set of national-level findings from the 2010 count on race and migration, detailing a decade in which rapid minority growth, aging whites and increased suburbanization were the predominant story lines. Geographers estimate that the nation's population center will move southwest about 30 miles and be placed in or near the village of Plato in Texas County, Mo.

"There is excitement," said Brad Gentry, 48, of Houston, Mo., who publishes the weekly paper in Texas County, noting that the U.S. population center typically carries symbolic meaning as the nation's heartland. "It is putting a spotlight on a corner of the world that doesn't get much attention. Most residents are proud of our region and like the idea that others will learn our story through this recognition."

Racial and ethnic minorities are expected to make up an unprecedented 90 percent of the total U.S. growth since 2000, due to immigration and higher birth rates for Latinos. Currently the fastest growing group, Hispanics are on track to exceed 50 million, or roughly 1 in 6 Americans; among U.S. children, Hispanics are now roughly 1 in 4.

Based on a Pew Hispanic Center analysis, the 2010 count of Hispanics was on track to be 900,000 higher than expected as their ranks surpassed census estimates in roughly 40 states. Many of their biggest jumps were in the South, including Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina and Louisiana, where immigrants made large inroads over the last decade.

It won't be long until they are the majority. It's just a matter of time. We better figure out how we are going to educate these people, because no matter what we think we might do, we are not going to send them back to Mexico. They are here and their numbers are growing. They need to be educated to the same levels as Whites and Asians, or they will drag this country right down the toilet. If their numbers continue to increase (which they will), and the percentages of them that remain below the poverty level remain constant or actually increase, it will have drastic effects on payments into SS, Medicare, and every level of government which will force those who have to pay even more.

The upfront cost of educating these people will be extremely high. However, the cost of doing nothing will be much higher.

In 1950, the average Mexican living in Mexico lived to 50 years of age.

In 2005, the average Mexican living in Mexico lived to 72 years of age. That is just 2 or 3 years less than the average US American at that time.

Source :United Nations stats.

Reason? Since 1950, the United States has dumped billions of dollars in aid in Latin America along with healthcare that other poorer nations around the world do not receive.

Mexico is not a poor country. There are 125 countries around the world that are poorer. But it is a third world culture and most of their people could care less about the rest of the world and its problems.

Why aren't whites living as long as hispanics? Based on the amount of illegals of hispanics countries stealing aid in the US and preventing others from receiving it, the answer is quite simple. Poor white and black Americans are being cheated out of this aid in their own country.

This can be observed at any Department of Human Serevices center. Who is bleeding this country out of those services when 70% of the poor in this country are white or black?

BTW..Your link isn't working.

Are these guys too lazy to buy fake IDs and steal benefits from deserving Americans?

That means that Americans cannot bear anyone of other race... That is not real. And how do you say healthy american... Non Americans that are living in america are not worth called the healthy ones?

People from the third world outliving people from the first world does defy explaination. On the other hand, Americans die in wars while Latin Americans don't lift a finger to help. Cowards will always outlive the brave.

Well, Americans built the country. There's really not much for them to do except steal welfare benefits, fail in school, and overpopulate the country.
