I guess it's because it's managed by kids going to school, like all the joints were back in the day. You always know what you're going to get. The kids are happy, polite, respectable, and they provide great service. The quality is very good as is the price. Go figure they pay their kids a nice wage. Be a fucking shame if the ACLU or the like gets involved and forces them to sport careers for immigrants.

On topic, remember when McDonald's fries were good until cooled? Now they're not even good hot. Who makes limp and tasteless salted fries? McDonalds does. Plus their food is a ripoff. You never know what you're going to get at Burger King. They're a rip-off too. Think of it, $6-8 for just a whopper or big mac, and it's junk. Wendys remains decent, but they're too expensive. They're lucky to get your order right, I/O doesn't have this problem. Would you say most of their employees are happy like what you see at I/O? So what happened to these restaurants?

Other than mismanaged from the top down, the primary reasons is our society forcing careers, which is primarily for immigrants, and forcing the minimum wage. Of course the public takes the hit on price and quality, but the prog-left do not see from A-Z.

When our govt. gets involved where they shouldn't, which is primarily at the fault of prog leftists like dumb-shit Bernie, the end results is a business that's compromised and then decays. Their ideas of Socialism suck ass. The old ways are better.

McDonalds used to make their fries using beef tallow (beef version of lard) until people started getting all uppity about calories. They still add beef flavoring and corn starch to them.

I'm not sure how a restaurant that only covers a small portion of the country could be determined to be the most popular.

They aren't voted the most popular.

They are voted the best burger.

Which I totally agree with. I don't usually eat beef but when I go south I'll eat an In N Out burger and fries.

It's a very good burger.

That all said, one of my favorite stores is El Centro Market. They don't speak a lot of English sometimes, but they're polite, great food and service. Most times I'm the only white dude there, and they do a great business. Good business model, progs haven't got to em yet.

Thread title said "most popular" and there is no corresponding story so I went with what was provided but my point remains.

Their fries are awesome. They'll cook twice if you ask em too, but I'm good what I get.

I entered our zip code for In n Out and it came up "No restaurants within 150 miles",
but that's okay--my homemade burgers and rings are the best anyway.

(Not actually mine^^)

They all suck, IMO. I don't eat meat, but In&out fries are limp and soggy. My daughter told me she was paying for her order and the girl at the window was coughing. When she pulled the napkins out of the bag, there was a big wad of brown mucus on them. Sorry for that. Caveat emptor.

The In-out Fries are lousy and can't compete with McDonalds IMVHO. Double-Double animal style Burger is popular but extremely messy. I prefer to eat my food as wear it or all over the hands. Single burger is less messy but not much there.

When I'm hungry enough I'll eat out, but 99% of the time it's at home. Something about the thought of strangers in a hot kitchen sweating on my food that ruins my appetite.

How to make crispy fries every time.
Basically, all you do is fry them twice.
Get the oil hot, deep fry for about 10 minutes then remove
them and let 'em rest for awhile in a strainer or bowl ( 30 minutes or longer).
Go and prep the rest of your meal then when you're ready, reheat the oil and drop the fries back in, separating them from clumping together, until golden brown- remove onto paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Bam.

I can't comment because I have never been to an In And Out place before. There isn't one that I know of here in east Tennessee.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. We do have Five Guys here and to me, they make a great burger! Sadly the closest location to me is the one in Pigeon Forge which is close to an hour away.

I used to like Steak n Shake back east ( they're here in Arkansas and Texas now too but the service seems different and a little expensive) With so many choices here, I'd rather spend a little more and get a burger at Outback, Ruby Tuesdays, Chili's or one of those places.
