This is the weakest recovery in American history since at least the Great Depression. Indeed, in some respects, the Obama recovery is nearly indistinguishable from the George W. Bush recession. According to a recent Pew report, during the Bush recession from 2007-09, median household income plummeted 4.2%. During the Obama recovery of 2009-11, it fell another 4.1%.

Real GDP growth dropped from 2.4% in 2010 to 2% in 2011, and slowed to 1.6% in the first six months of 2012. As James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute notes, we are on course for the weakest non-recession economy in U.S. history.

The Obama administration and campaign (but I repeat myself) both claim that the president's record is one of obvious success, and that all we need is a little patience as we stay the course. Indeed, according to a recent e-book by Politico, President Obama is convinced the good times are just around the corner, which is one reason he's determined to beat Romney in November. "I'm not going to let him win so that he can take credit when the economy turns around," Obama has reportedly said.

Corporations are sitting on nearly $2 trillion in cash and other liquid assets (not counting an additional $1.2 trillion in overseas accounts that they'd be able to bring home under Romney's tax plan).

A 3% increase in taxes across the board, mandatory military cuts to one of the largest sections of our private sector, the end to extended unemployment.....

US Builders Increase Spending
On Homes​

"Spending on residential projects rose 0.9 percent in August. That pushed residential spending to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $273.5 billion, nearly 18 percent above the level from a year ago.

Spending on single-family homes increased in August for the fifth straight month, while apartment construction spending rose for the 10th month in a row.


Though new homes represent less than 20 percent of the housing sales market, they have an outsize impact on the economy. Each home built creates an average of three jobs for a year and generates about $90,000 in tax revenue, according to the National Association of Home Builders.

Construction of single-family homes rose last month to the fastest annual rate in more than two years. Sales of newly built and previously occupied homes are up compared to last year, helped by the lowest mortgage rates on record."

Willard and his advisors, money men and GOP insiders thought the economy was their ticket to victory since his campaign started 2 years ago too. But, it isn't happening for them, is it? Prospective voters don't seem to be either blaming Obama, or trusting Mitten's to correct our problems, as polls show him falling farther and farther behind.

So...they've "reset,""redirected,""changed,""restarted," and "refocused" his campaign multiple times to try and find an issue where he can clearly distance himself from the President and those haven't been able to overcome his personal deficiencies as a candidate or the gross incompetence of his campaign staff either. He's still losing..and losing bigger with each passing day.

Well...here we are in the final days and they've run out of ideas to present their candidate as a viable alternative. In desperation, they're back to square one.
