John don't underestimate these failed socialists, they are determined to get Bush one way or the other and if the press picks this up and the Republicans don't support Bush we are in for a bumpy ride. I don't beleive they have any evidence but they will make up memos, we know they are good for that. This is a conspiracy from Sorros, Nader, the DNC, and Kerry, they are tyring to make Bush irrelevant, and makepave the way for Hillary.

The Bush administration better wake up!!

This is the most pertinent comment yet. I agree with you Bonnie. But I'd extend it to "the Republican Party better wake up". We know the "RABID LEFT", I love that one, will stop at NOTHING in their fight for power. Not fighting full force against these zealots is the conservatives greatest downfall.

Very true and for some unfathomable reason Republicans never seem to GET how dirty Democrats fight and stick together. Republicans prefer to take the high road which is nice in theory but in the trenches of politics is stupid. If Bush were to outwardly address this it would lend credence to this whole ridiculous thing, however I hope that Rove in his genious is able to read the tea leaves and do whatever he needs to do behind the scenes to protect our president and the party.

Right, because Rove has never done anything like steal Democratic letterheads to print supposedly self-denigrating messages from the Democrats, or organize a phone call campaign in South Carolina telling people McCain had a black baby out of wedlock (he adopted it) to try and get the nomination for Bush instead of McCain, or convince everyone that Al Gore said he invented the internet, or be a protege of a Watergate conspirator, or falsely saying Democrats bugged his phone just before an election, or hold stock in energy companies while attending administration energy policy meetings . Anyone who thinks either side of the aisle is clean is naive.

In May of 2002, Bush declares in a speech at West Point our new "defense" policy of pre-emption. (WTF?) No one in America seems to notice that it violates international law.
I think that was a drive-by post, swillmind. Anyway, if self-defense is against international law, then self-preservation demands that we violate it every time.

Plus he says whatever he did that was illegal was justified because the ends justify the means.

Funny, I've told others you were not a 'mindless lib.' Here is the history of that entry, this is so over the top for a source, it renders you beneath WJ:

No where in my post did I say Republicans are squeaky clean, however if you compare over the long haul and especially most recently Democratic tactics with Republican there is a fairly large disparity. I can't recall an instance in which Republicans deliberately set out to ruin a politician's life with unsubstantiated slander sung in chorus with the media's willing hand day after day until that person just gives up and resigns. It has become a sick pattern with Democrats.
