    From US Constitution, Article II:

    "Section 4.
The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

The President can only be impeached if he commits a serious crime. Ya can't do it just because you don't like him or his policies.

A bill of impeachment is a list of charges drawn up and approved by the House of Representatives. The actual trial takes place in the Senate.

Absolutely. We have no evidence that Trump has done anything to warrant impeachment, yet anyway.
Anyone bringing this up now is actually shooting their chances in the foot, imo. Don't be crying wolf. At some point, this might actually need to be taken seriously.

    Wrong.

Impeachment is a political process, not legal – a president can be impeached, tried and convicted by the Senate, and compelled to leave office absent any alleged criminal wrongdoing.

The term ‘misdemeanor’ does not refer to committing a crime, it refers to bad acts by the president, being unfit for office, violating his oath of office, or otherwise conducting himself in a manner detrimental to the office of the president and the Nation as a whole.

The impeachment process is the means by which the people correct the mistake made by the states when they elected an individual president unfit to be president.

Do you remember Slick Willy and his one eyed willy?

It all started with the subpoena.

Then he lied under oath about fat Monica.

That was considered a high crime.

Even though it was all about his willy.

Trump has just hired Slick's impeachment attorney.

Seems Trump is getting ready for it.

Today Trump hired Bill Clinton's former impeachment attorney.

Looks like Trump is getting ready for the inevitable.

Whatever Congress decides is a 'high crime' or 'misdemeanour.'
