No crime need be committed to impeach, it is a political move not a judicial one. The House could impeach anytime and the charges can be almost anything the House wants. The problem is the Senate tries the case. But Republicans could slow down the government for some time and spend a few bucks, and that might be better than the birth certificate thing?
