Putnam Lake, NY raised, Pawling, NY resident.
So, I was in a Pawling tavern, and he said the government gets in everybody's business, and I said "Yeah on nonsense, while they don't against illegal immigrants"

He said "Yeah, when I was in Colorado, they wouldn't give me a driver's license when he gave the Danbury CT birth certificate"
"But, that they then gave a driver's license to a Mexican, who's papers said Guatalahara, Mexico"

If true, is this a sort of immigrant privilege?

Not sure if so, or not so.

However, I have noticed that illegal immigrants could long hang out in Brewster, NY on the street corners, without "Loitering charges" that Americans would otherwise get.

Keep in mind that Illegal immigrants don't pay income tax, so if an illegal immigrant is doing minimum wage type jobs, he's actually making more than his legal counterpart.

That's not to say everything is peachy, but I'd argue that at least in the same class level, the illegal immigrant tends to be of privilege.

Agree, or disagree?
