Mitt would have been able to take on Biden.

Mitt wouldn't have to hide from the press.

Mitt wouldn't chicken out of a VP debate.

Mitt would be able to talk competently, and substantively about the economy and domestic policy.

Mitt would have been formidable.

I don't think Mitt would have been lying non-stop like Palin has.

Mitt would have turned off everyone on the right and insured victory for Nobama.

Palin hasn't debated Biden yet. We'll see who can take on whom.

I told my GF the same thing tonight.

Mitt would have been the perfect point man for this economic issue.

But the religious right would not have liked the fact that he is a Mormon.

Just because he's not VP doesn't mean he can't aide McCain on economic issues.

Plus, who wants to trust another big businessman to handle the economy? Are they the ones who you're bitching about ruining it?

God you fuckers are so transparent.

chicken out? It seems like, a few months ago, McCain suggested he and Obama debate more than the regular three times and Obama refused. Why?

Watch Obama's interview with Bill O'reilly. It's not the same Obama that gave the speech at the convention. Debating and making speeches are two different arts.

The problem for McCain was Romney was presidential, smart, well spoken etc. Johnnie would have looked silly next to him.

A vote for McCain/Palin is a vote to destroy for future generations the natural beauty of Alaska and our coastlines.

Mitt will always have a tough time because he originates from a belief system which claims that some guy, (a charlatan "divining rod," treasure hunter,) stumbled onto a NEW Bible that happened to contain all these phony "Hebrew sounding," words in it (check it out sometime- it's hilarious "And Yuzozebasuckakiah begat unto Moogoogaipanishads a boy and his name was Slammoblammo...")

You want to know the truth about this scam called Mormonism?
Read "Under The Banner of Heaven," by Jon Krakauer...

Mitt is very smart and understands the issues. McCain has been in the Senate for a lot of years and he knows how it works but he just isn't as bright as Romney. When Lieberman and Graham were whispering and correcting McCain during that Iraq speech, I think everyone knew that he wasn't up to the job.

I am a Dem but I wouldn't have been as upset if Mitt would have been the R to take over but if it were McCain/Palin, I would have considered leaving the dang country myself.

You know......if McStupid had picked Romney instead of Palin, he may have won.

But now? Palin is fighting tooth and nail to keep her name out of the mud. Seen what her daughter and boyfriend have been saying lately?

>>I'm so glad McCain didn't pick Romney<<

Hilarious.

Like ANYONE would have been a more GIGANTIC dick-up than choosing the second runner-up in the Miss Coho Salmon pageant.

If he had picked Zippy the Pinhead he'd be president today...

It would be nice to have a real businessman in office during a time like this.

100% agree! I am much much much more mad that America didn't pick Romney!

McCain knew he wouldn't have any control over Romney. I am sure he thought Palin would be more pliable at first. Boy was he mistaken.

Well.......pitbull bitches wearing lipstick are like that.

Kinda sucks that the GOP finally found out that the women in their own party want to run things. Wonder what they're gonna do now?

The right would have had no one else to vote for. And Mitt wouldn't have looked incompetent, especially on the economy.

I think they'd have won with him. just my opinion.

The middle left in droves because of Palin.

I don't know much about Romney myself, but I do know that Palin was a bad choice for McCain, and if Romney does have what others have stated here, then I would have certainly liked to have seen him on the ticket.

The only reason he didn't win the primaries is because he is Mormon.

Big mistake but he can still run again, he has a lot of money. We'll see what idiots Republicans put up in 2012. I was amazed at the lackluster group of candidates they came up with in such an important election for them.

I'm still not saying he can beat Obama, that guy ran a great campaign, Romney would just be a better choice for the Conservative faction of the Republican party.

Well ... it's a good reason to support separation of church and state then. Keeping religious views and affiliations out of the public arena may have made for a more fair election this time around since that was one of the biggest problems with them all.

I agree. I absolutely support it.
