I'm only asking if Americans believe these policies are good for the country.

I could go on and on. Science in education. Cutting Special Olympic funding. All kinds of things.

I know some Republicans will say, "But, but, but the Democrats this and the Democrats that" and come up with some weird accusation. The Democrats don't want anyone to work or the Democrats are all socialist.

But forget them for a minute. Look at Republican Policies. Are these the policies that represent the GOP? Well, we know they are so let me rephrase that. Why would these policies be good for the country? Defend them. Sell them to us so we can understand how they are good. That's all I ever asked.

In all seriousness, the R does not care what is right or good for the United States. If they did, they would not have worked so damn hard to stop jobs or economic improvement. All they care about is getting the black guy out of the Lincoln bedroom.

If the R had not held the country hostage for almost 4 years, we'd be in pretty good shape. Yes, its true that it will a couple of generations to recoup the enormous Reagan/Bush debt but we had a good track on jobs and housing - but the R simply would not allow it.

Bastards. They should be brought up on charges but instead, they're still plotting the demise of their own country. This time they have the help of a jerk who has always invested in other countries - but never his own.

That never happens on this board. All we ever get from the rw's is name calling and insults.

Reason is simple - they can't sell it because they know its what got us here in the first place.

For the gazillion time -

The Current ReaganBush Debt is:
$15,051,839,812,702.80
which means that in a total of 20 years,
these three presidents have led to the creation of
94.15%
of the entire national debt
in only 8.4746% of the 236 years of the existence of the United States of America.

But yet Obama can spend 6 trillion dollars more into debt in 4 years. Man, o, man do you people spin.

The teachers, firemen, police are all local state and city, ect. If the aid is American then it shouldn't be cut, but outside of our country. What's it to the rest of the world?

The truth is that with voter suppression and undermining democracy and America's laziness when it comes to the vote and the right wings propensity for self flagellation, there is a very good chance Romney will become our president. We know these to be his positions. Otherwise, he wouldn't say them. But are these what right wingers really support? They insist they are patriotic so they must believe these positions and policies will be good for the country, but I don't see how. I'm just asking them to explain and STOP denying. The denial is getting old. Their leaders say one thing and they insist their leaders were "misquoted". Again and again. It's happened too many times for even them to say that one more time. Instead, please defend the policies that you will inflict on the country. Is that so much to ask?

fdr tried and failed, horribly
Japan tried it and failed
the EU tried and is going down in flames

So I don't know why the dems hate America so much that they will try, again, something they must know will fail.

Teachers, firefighters and police are all local jobs that has to do with the states and cities they work for. Local taxpayers pay for them. Why do you want to centralize them?

Well, I think Bp should be held creditable for the damages they caused to our country. That I agree with you on. On the other hand we should not stop drilling for our own oil.

I believe all rapist should be executed. You can't be anymore against it then I.:eusa_shhh: believe me, I think the republicans are going to far if their platform is based on the Akins Amendment. A woman that is raped should be allowed that right.

Well, how about the states controlling the food program? Wouldn't that be cheaper??? Centralization doesn't work. Why did they block fema funding? Seems evil, while we're giving billions to the third world. This I disagree with.

Why not support our oil corporations here in America? I also believe in extending the tax "cut" on green energy. Well, on the poor wouldn't it be better just to put the money into job training programs? We can discuss this more...

I don't want to CUT Medicare at all.

Centralization? Didn't work in the USSR. No one here is promoting that. It's nonsense. Link to anyone promoting "centralization" and not right wing talking points and accusations. Real evidence.

Police, Firemen and Teachers all get federal funding for training, materials and for a whole host of things. There are places in the US so poor, without that help, those people would never even have a chance. Especially in Red States. The poorest of the poor.

There is a ton of these links. Don't believe me? Do a search on "GOP proposes cuts to job training" and while you are at it, do a search on "Rick Santorum says education is for snobs" and "3 million jobs unfilled because of a lack of skills". Just find out what the GOP stands for. It's all I'm asking.

comparing the Two parties, I will still vote gop, since the dems refuse to learn that spending your way out of debt is a bad idea.

Uh, in case you weren't paying attention, the Rs spent their way INTO debt.

Now, your candidate says he can get out of debt without raising taxes and without cutting CERTAIN programs.

Ya wanna s'plain that? Cuz he can't.

Well, I think Bp should be held creditable for the damages they caused to our country. That I agree with you on. On the other hand we should not stop drilling for our own oil.

Obama authorized more thann 400 new drilling permits. More than any other prez in the past and more than bushbushreagan.

I don't want to CUT Medicare at all.

Mitt says its got to go and Ryan wants to put us on a voucher system.

Matthew, reading your posts, you may not be aware of this but you are a progressive in disguise. You want programs that actually work. The R does not. They just want control of the peons.

Come over to light side. You'll be happier.

Regan lowered taxes and that increased revenue
Clinton lowered taxes and that increased revenue
Bush lowered them more and that increased revenue

Do you see the pattern?

fdr increased spending and dragged out the recovery
Japan increased spending and dragged out the recovery
The EU increased spending and is dragging out the recovery
Big 0 increased spending and is dragging out the recovery

Do you see the pattern?

Now, what party is saying they want to keep taxes low and cut spending?
Keep in mind the facts of what's worked.
