I'm looking for this kind of sound (which is not ska), but unfortunately, besides this piece, I can't find anything else ..

Can any of you suggest me some orchestra that makes pieces like that ..?

Sounds like an early mix of Jazz, Soul with some old style Salsa tossed in.

I know him well. Honestly, I prefer Ken Boothe's Rock Steady:

The fact is that Jackie Mittoo "chicken and booze" cover is not Ska, but nennemo Rock Steafy. The original music is by Manny Corchado, the musical genre recalls the Boogaloo:

I'm looking for a sound the same as the cover made by Mittoo, and the one found at the beginning of this other cover of Bluebeaters:

Even per minute 2:52

I doubt that's what the OP is looking for but --- what a great combo they make

---- but why the fuck is he dressed like that? That's just evil. :death:

Hard to know exactly what the OP wants here. The rhythm? The horns? The general energy?

See how you like this....

Couple of stabs in the dark from my music bed library....

There's a similar one from the "North East Ska Jazz Orch" but it's returning an error ---- lotsa YouTube errors lately

Alternatively:

I have never liked the New York ska jazz, I prefer the Tosters, or the Casino Royale..

Among other things, one of the two singers of the Casino Royale was Giuliano Palma, who, together with others, founded the Bluebeaters:

The keyboardist and bassist first played in NY Ska Jazz, even if it's been a few years since they played with Bluebeaters anymore, even Giuliano Palma is no longer there ..

Well yer talkin' distinctions way out of my league here. All sounds the same to me.

Word of advice: when you post three or four videos in a single post it slows down the whole thread. Because every one has to load.

If you like jazzy, you might want to check out Ernest Ranglin.
