I'm listening to the news this morning...

The majority of people seem to be corrupt, even if it be just from within their own heads. :dunno: I would refrain from bashing too hard on those in office, regardless of our difference in sight.

The first republican debate watcher said she'd vote Donald Duck if polls showed he had the best shot at beating Obama.

The next republican debate watcher interviewed said the same thing about Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

Seriously?!? :wtf:

Is this really the attitude of MOST of you republicans?
I no huge fan of Obama, but I'd rather have him in the White House than Barny or Donald.

There have been many elections where I have voted against an individual rather than for a particular candidate. Actually Donald Duck and Barney loo pretty good compared to Obama. I am glad we have other choices.

All of my votes have been ‘against,’ never ‘for.’

This has to do with the fact there are few, if any, politicians who support Second Amendment issues, privacy rights with regard to abortion, and Ron Paul’s foreign policy.

You're not necessarily wrong, but I don't want this thread to turn into a typical "Well THEY do it too!!" thread.

I want to know from the republicans if it is personal enough to follow mythical cartoon characters into battle instead of a human.

Ya cause they seriously meant they would vote for a cartoon character. Give me a break.

They were passionate in their desire to see ANYONE, including mythical characters, in the White House over its current resident. I'm curious as to why....
The "why" is obvious, they were programmed to support a cartoon character over Obama by their MessiahRushie. Once programmed, CON$ are powerless to think for themselves, the most they can do is substitute their favorite cartoon character for Elmer Fudd.

I think that they were being rhetorical.

I can truly understand some people's frustrations, though, to get to the point where they could say something like that.

The first thing that needs to be done is to get the big money out of politics. Put a limit. If you are a millionaire you CANNOT run because no millionaire has anything in common with the vast majority of hard working americans. Because one has alot of money lends zero credence to their ability to govern. Give me a janitor, you know, $35,000 per year with 3 kids and a very small house. Let him call the shots. Couldnt do any worse since the mid 70's right up until today. Wasnt a fan of Clinton as many of his blind supporters still are. Wasnt a fan of Reagan either.
Am I the only one smart enough to see how the entire system is slanted to those who control most of the wealth? How can the rest of the country not figure this out?

I don't think 'the common man' can run a country. If he could he would already be doing something far more important that just being a 'common man.' We have elected far too many who don't understand wealth well enough to keep our country wealthy. We sure don't need any more.

The country is slanted toward commerce. Our laws favor commerce. Our laws favor the employer over the employee to a large extent. But those on the bottom rung either don't really care or don't know enough to change things. And whose fault would the latter be as they all had the benefit of the same schooling the rest of us had? Any of us who is of sound mind can change our own circumstances if we really want. People just have to break out of that mold they are in, take a chance, or get an education. Most people are just lazy. When people have enough money to buy Nikes and make the payments on an SUV, they believe they are set and don't try to go any further.

because they are political whores. Both sides have it. Hell you see it here. California girl has said she would vote for anyone over Obama. Willowtree as well. Stepth has professed this too. So has predfan and others.

You will ALWAYS have people like this. Back in 04 we had people saying this about Bush. Dean, Kerry, Sharpton, anyone but Bush. You really cant debate these type of people, because regardless of what you say and facts you bring up. They will just have a blind hatred for the opposing party.

What I want to know is, does this fact mean two dogs in a Jeep have a shot at making it to the White House?

:eusa_think: The movie rights alone might make it worth some attention.

You talking about Hillary and Michelle? They already made it to the WH. Too bad this time it wasn't Hillary instead of Obama. She certainly would have done a better job than he has.

Pretty sad to hear. Some people are just that loyal to their parties.

You mean like the blindly faithful Obamabots that cheer him no matter what he does or does not do? Like that? Like the ones that claim anyone opposed to Obama is a racist? The ones that claim the Tea Party was violent or racist? Those people?

How about the vast majority of the main stream press that did absolutely no fact checking or vetting of Obama in 2008 and continue to defend him by not running stories damaging to him? Like that?

You're not necessarily wrong, but I don't want this thread to turn into a typical "Well THEY do it too!!" thread.

I'm not a Republican. I wouldn't vote for a fictional character. I would however, vote for any candidate to date than runs against him. It's not party affiliation that makes me feel that way. It is a deep, sincere hatred of Marxism, collectivism, anti-capitalism, anti-constitutionalism, anti-Americanism and forced socialism that turns me against Obama.

Obama is not fit to be our President.

That is exactly the point.

Barney the Dinosaur and Barney Frank are both cartoonish lumps. The fictional one couldn't serve -- being fictional and all. The retiring liberal Democratic couldn't serve because even most liberal Democratics wouldn't vote for that asshole.

The point is: this current President is so horrendous that a vote for a cartoon character would still be a vote for a better President.

Some of the current Republican contenders are far less than inspiring. I would not ordinarily vote for them. But given how horrible the current President is, I would even vote for Huntsman over President Obama.

Believe it or not but Newt would be far worse than obama if newt won. Perry and Romney would be mirror images of obama.

I'm not sure he'd be worse, but he'd be no better. There's certainly not enough difference for me to waste a vote between the two of them. This is another example of the two-party system selling us out to corporatism. Fuck them.
