Here you are:

CNN.com - Transcripts

REP. MICHELE BACHMANN (R), MINNESOTA: Well, I think we know that, just within a day or so, the president of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day. He's taking 2,000 people with him.

Thank you. 2,000 people? Maybe it did cost upwards of 200 mil/day. They ain't going to be staying at the Motel 8 and eating at McDs.

bachman was just repeating rush limbaugh and drudge GARBAGE and unsubstantiated rumor

We find stories based on anonymous sources always deserve special caution, especially when they come from only one news organization. In this case, the anonymous official is not even in the U.S. government, and any information about costs would necessarily have come second-hand at best, an added reason for caution.
Nevertheless, the story was widely repeated without any additional reporting. Soon after the article was released, The Drudge Report — a news aggregation website — linked to the Press Trust of India article, with the headline "REPORT: US to spend $200 million per day on Obama’s Mumbai visit…" Later that day, Rush Limbaugh claimed on his radio show that "Five hundred seven rooms at the Taj Mahal, 40 airplanes, $200 million a day this nation will spend on Obama’s trip to India." He repeats the "$200 million a day" claim several times throughout the show without specifying its source.
The allegation has generated a great deal of Internet discourse over the past few days, including a Washington Times post that claims Obama’s entourage on the trip "will spend enough to bankrupt a small nation." According to the Economic Times and The Daily Mail, Obama will take over the entire 570-room Taj Mahal Hotel for the trip. A Google search for the exact words of the original Press Trust article returned about 11,000 results. And we received about two dozen queries about it.

BTW, we targeted (and killed) an American citizen in the ME because he was a terrorist.

Timothy McVeigh was an American citizen.

Jane Fonda was an American citizen.

Obama's mentor, Bill Ayres (sp) (the one that bombed the WTC first) is an American citizen.

The Ft, Hood shooter was an American citizen.

Being an American citizen does not preclude one from being a terrorist to America.

I was not aware he bombed WTC. I do know he bombed the Capitol Building, and the Pentagon among other buildings and planned on killing hundreds at Fort Dix but never knew about WTC. Is that new information?
No, it's not true at all, it's simply another lie.

You are correct. Ayers bombed the Pentagon, not the WTC.:D

I can admit when I'm wrong, the $200 mil/day is not realistic. Bachmann parroted the same story that most of the RWers were pushing at the time, as do the LWers sometimes too.

Abedin is related quite closely, by blood, to a few people who figure quite highly in the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
Secondly, you have to look at what happened during the Arab Spring. Did all of that just happen by chance? There are statistical formulas that can be used to determine if something happened by chance or if there were some outside motive force guiding the events.
The drug companies are big consumers of statistics in their research efforts toward finding out whether one chemical substance relieves one of humanity's ills better than another.
For instance in this hypothetical situation; One drug company has a compound they suspect may help with cancer so they take a group of fifty people with identical cancers and divide them into two groups. They give one group only a sugar pill. Half that group dies, while the cancers in those that are left progressively worsen. Meanwhile half of the other group's cancers dissappear completely and the remainder's do not progress. The drug company usually stops the study at this point and puts everyone in the group on the new drug for humanitarian reasons. No statistics needed. What usually happens is that 12 of the twenty five in the group getting the sugar pill die, while six of the group getting the investigational drug die as well. at that point the staisticians fire up their calculators and remove their socks just in case they need to use their fingers and toes as well and plunge into their formulas. If repeated testing shows the same results, the drug company can usually go to the FDA for approval.
When 12 of the sugar pill group die, while 11 taking the investigational drug die also, things get dicey for the drug company.
Obama, at best, is a closet Muslim. He sat in the front pew of Jeremiah Wright's church for twenty years only to provide a pseudo Christian cloak over his Muslim faith. It is eminently permissable for a Muslim to lie if his lying advances the cause of the Worldwide Islamic Caliphate. Obama has already been proven to be a serial liar. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been rebuilding the Mosque of the Hidden Immam, the Mahdi, in anticipation of his return. Obama is enough of a narcissist to think he deserves the throne in that Mosque when it becomes ready.
Hillary Clinton is Secretary Of State. Huma Abedin is her second. Between the three of them you have ample opportunity, between two of them you have ample motive.
John McCain has been known to make an errant movement or two in the past. As a midshipman he was supposed to make a trip outside of Annapolis to meet his then girlfriend's parents. Along the way he was offered, and accepted, so many drinks from people he met that by the time he arrived at his girlfriend's he was unable to stand well enough to knock on the screen door, he fell through it instead. He gave the trainer he was flying during pilot training back to the taxpayers, into the Gulf Of Mexico off of Pensacola.
There's still a great deal of mystery as to the events that occurred leading to the explosion and fire on the deck of the Forrestal. "Don’t let the facts on Huma Abedin’s family get in the way of attacking Michele Bachmann

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s request for investigations into several ties between the U.S. government and the radical Islamist group the Muslim Brotherhood seems to have struck a nerve.

Bachmann, along with four other U.S. Representatives, have requested, in a series of letters sent from the five U.S. representatives, that several key issues be explored. Among those concerns mentioned is the connection between the family of Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff to Hillary Clinton, and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Central to the questions with Abedin, and the others, is first, a fact issue: Do these people in fact have ties, primary or through friends or relatives, to radical Islamist groups?

Second is whether, if indeed the concerns are proved accurate, we should be concerned as to their proximity and influence on United States foreign policy

The fact is, Dr. Abedin does have strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and has in fact expressed opinions that, if Robin considered them, might change his view that she is a “leading voice on women’s rights.”

In the meantime, the attacks on Michele Bachmann reveal their time-worn tactic to attack the messenger, distract from the facts, and throw in Joe McCarthy for good measure. Bachmann has produced facts to back up all her requested investigations; it is up to the American people to demand their representatives back her up and the facts become known"
