I'm going to miss Oprah.

Not me. I think her show was a waste of good electricity.

I'm kinda like -Eh-
She did some good things and all, she is a great person I'm sure, but I never watched her show, maybe once or twice in all the years it was on.
I had more important things to do, seriously.
So, I'm in the middle..I don't not like her, but I don't love love her either

I'll admit she has done alot of good things for people, but aside from that i can't stand the woman. Her political and religious views are complete opposite of what i believe. She used to be a Christian, but has changed her life and now pushes some new-age religion (can't remember what it was called) and to me makes her a little (a lot?) wacko!
She's a product of Reverend Wright. Sat in his pews for over seven years.

I like Oprah. She's a shining example of what hard work, talent and a little luck can bring. She started with nothing and created an empire. She's an incredible inspiration for many people. I wish nothing but the best in whatever she does.

Ditto.

And she quit Trinity Church in the early 90s, so the Reverend Wright thing is not really accurate.

I was never an Oprah fan, but one of my sisters loves her. So, I DVRed her finale and watched it last night. It was quite touching. Setting aside her horrible politics (which did not intrude), she wrapped up her 25 year show with a very positive and life affirming message.

Well done, Oprah.

I heard tell she was saving a very special person to be her last guest for her last show, who was it??

That's exactly why I stopped watching her narcississtic self, Every cover had to have her picture on it.. and her last guest was herself. Course she did kiss Stedman.

I'll give her credit. At least she was able to recognize where Wright's head and heart were at, and fled. Which is a lot more than we can say about the dufus currently occupying the Oval Office.

She actually came into my restaurant a couple o' times when she was spending time at her home in Montecito, which was about a mile up the road from my place. She seemed nice enough. Her husband seemed a lil' odd.......She was an excellent tipper though. Which says a lot. A lot of these mega rich celebrity types are lousy tippers....Two of my servers made quite a few bucks from her.

It is accurate though, cause obie doodle is the one and only presidential candidate she endorsed and he spent 20 years in bullfrogs church so she knew perfectly well who and what she was foisting upon us.

I don't like that she endorsed The One. But she has accomplished some significantly good things in her life.

I will give her that.

Exactly. You have to look at the complete person, not just their politics. I live in LA, most of my friends are liberals who vote for Democrats, I still love them. Do I discuss politics with them? Not usually. I do that here.

I'd lose it with Judy. I like watching her, but no way would I stand there with my thumb up my ass as she berated me.

I know...I'd have to jump up and over the barriers there and smack her freaking face. I don't know why or how people go in front of her to solve their problems. You're either laughed out of the courtroom or high fiving.

They usually have it coming...makes for good TV

Oprah turned me off when she had some basketball guy on as a guest and one of her audience members rolled her eyes when she introduced him. I think it was Shaq? Can't remember which dude it was. But she kicked the woman off her show and said if nobody loved him as much as she did, they were not welcome in her studio. BTW, the woman was black. And shocked when the cameras were on her with Oprah berating her. The woman didn't say a word against him, she just rolled her eyes. Nothing else. But oprah saw it cuz she was in the front row. The woman cried as they escorted her off the set.

That's when I turned it off. Never went back, either.

I do admire the woman. She's done a lot with her life.

She's a shinning example of what you can do when you set your heart and mind to it.

Having said that. In 25 years I have never watched one episode of her show.

Just doesnt' interst me.
